Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

After reading the email just sent out can someone say whether we are looking at more layoffs this week or just changes within the company?

Did the Tim Huval email today go out company wide or just to those who might be next in line to be laid off?

pretty sure HAH is done for now..... think they are working on the restructure of teams/ COMS/ coaches, etc, now. probably by week end we will have an idea of how that will go, they are verifying everyones licensure , and may redistribute teams based on that.... who knows??

The HAH layoffs are finished. For this round anyway. Will there be another next quarter? No ones knows for sure yet. Leadership is preparing to do another if needed, they are also preparing to hire if needed. Right now it all rests on open enrollment numbers and non lay off staff turn over. Open enrolment lasts for another month. And staff turnover following a lay off is always high, so no one has solid numbers of how much staff will be needed and how much will be here. They are letting the dust settle before a final decision is made. But right now, it's just as likely to go either way in 2018.

After reading the email I'm more confused than before. I thought the layoffs were over, but now not so sure. It would of made more sense to tell us how many have been informed already, so we have a better understanding of the situation. That would of been true transparency, but again that email was clear as mud.

HAH took a pretty significant hit again last week (this is about the 4th this year)...HCMSS, PHCs, CHEs, RNs, FCMs and leadership impacted last week. Sorry to hear it has hit the Inc side as well. Best of luck to you and hoping this is the end of it.

The colleagues that I know whom were laid off, are NOT HAH. They are Humana Inc. (specialist, analyst , ext)

good luck everyone

Does anyone know if it will be truly company wide? Has any claims reps, CIT, or UM departments been told they will have layoffs?

We were told all cuts completed at this time. Don’t feel very trusting at this point so we’ll see.
