Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Everyone is so tight lipped this round!

It is obvious that leadership has threatened management's futures if they post on here. Oddly, all have complied even though leadership would not know who is posting. It's kind of mafia like. What little info we have gotten has been conflicting. Put all the info together and we are all at risk: nurses, social workers, PHCs, CHEs, RITs, LTIH. 2 roles will be eliminated. We have been told RIT will be eliminated but no confirmation on the other role and zero mention of it. An educated guess would say CHEs. Their job is the easiest to cut and add to our jobs. Could it be a different roke?

@Q2deMA2-uxg these are not rumors there are layoffs coming!! Everyone posting has first hand knowledge. UPS fiasco, basically told those of us who received that notification in error about a letter coming from Humana.

What does RIF mean? Something has to happen, HAH RN, and many in Monitored now and I have maybe got 2-3 new people from someone's roster that quit. That does not seem like a plan that leaders would do in general to ramp up the new and exciting ever evolving 2.0 way we connect with our members. The leadership is new, now they will clean house. It is a business and sad they do not communicate the new program and our role or any new roles we can apply for. Plus, keeping us all in the dark and causing all of this stress! Everyone is afraid to say 'anything' because we may get on a PIP for even asking, hey, what is going on? Wish they would just confirm our instincts and let us deal with their wicked ways.

I have no first hand knowledge but i feel eventually the telephonic program will phase out as Humana's focus is care management physically in the homes.

As they grow this piece I foresee the telephonic program dwindling.

There is definitely a layoff. A couple have given first hand info indicating a 50% reduction in the telephonic division of HAH.

There was a HI article that forecasted a RIF. To what degree HAH will be impacted, we really don’t know.

There was an article in Sept on the Hi page announcing layoffs in the next 60 days. Not a rumor

Maybe they aren't being tight-lipped. Maybe there is no layoff coming. I haven't seen anyone post first-hand info that it is happening, seems to be a lot of rumors. If someone knows something I don't please let us know.
