Bleh, not sure why I bother, anymore:

" I'm not sure if Windstream is going to be glad or shocked about the mass exodus when the good people who made this company what it is leave. Forget the layoffs, go ahead and post all of the upcoming job openings."

Problem is, they are laying off all the "Good People" who made this company, as they hit their spreadsheets...

Speaking as one of those that was there from the beginning....

Much Tribal knowledge lost...

This company was built on the backs of many that were let go, over the last couple of months...

"Why are people still surprised that a CEO makes more than a manager or individual contributor? If you want to make that kind of money pursue that kind of role."

The goal of a CEO, not discounting they should make more then the rank and file employee, is to grow the company, and enhance the company, and those that sustain it. This isn't the '30's and sure as heck isn't how modern corporations should be run. Becoming a CEO is hard to do, but so is the job of the front line person, in any area. let's get someone like Tony down on the floor and see if he can run a help desk position. If you can't run the positions you "rule" over, you shouldn't be ruling over them.

you're correct the CEO signed up for that salary. What doesn't sit well is that while bonuses and Merit increases are not guaranteed, our Merit increases were significantly scaled back this year and I don't believe the same can be said about bonuses to the top executives. You can say what you want but that is a huge source of tension for the true working-class of this company.

"Those are numbers, glad to see you can recognize them. Well done!"

To the person who wrote that, drink your koolaid and shut up. Facts are facts. I'm sure Tony won't struggle to feed the kids or to make the house payment if they take his badge and walk him out. I'm thinking that you aren't actually part of that inner circle but you want to be one of those j3rkoffs. Best of luck in all of your @ss kissing endeavors. The rest of us are running our resumes through the ole spellchecker. I'm not sure if Windstream is going to be glad or shocked about the mass exodus when the good people who made this company what it is leave. Forget the layoffs, go ahead and post all of the upcoming job openings.

Yes, they are, and they are some rather grim numbers....

Hope you can recognize that! Seeing as numbers, such as these, are what company's are rated on...
