Success Sharing Program

I'm surprised nobody is talking about this on here...

Maybe its only been announced in the UK? The email suggests its at least US and UK.

"For FY18, if DXC exceeds its company-wide earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) target and you have contributed significantly to achieving this goal as indicated by your performance and management’s endorsement, you may be eligible to receive up to 5% of your base salary as recognition for your contributions to DXC’s success. "

Its not pensionable, its not a pay rise, its a one off payment.

Sounds good eh?

Don't get too excited, I'd expect two gotchas:

1) the EBIT target will be as unachievable as the in country revenue targets

2) In the small print it actually says "Employee must have superior performance as documented in the annual performance process, including as it relates to an individual’s goals and consistent demonstration of DXC CLEAR Values. DXC Management’s identification of such superior performance is at its sole discretion." - in other words there is no predefined success criteria, they can and will twist your performance review in order to meet their own targets for how much they pay out.

Personally I'd like to see employees on the same bonus terms as the board. I mean, we're all in this together right? Why should we be rewarded under different success criteria to them?

Are you Mikey spy?

Are you dump? 5% is lesser than 1 month bonus.

If company make profit!!!

If company make profit, please ask Mikey take 5% bonus from his annual salary. the rest, please return to us.

If company don't make the expected target, you get nothing, and mikey still get a bunch of money.

This is hanging carrot in front donkey. We are just the donkey. Understand, donkey??

Employees are working their butts off hoping for a bonus.. no use, the bonus will not cover the cost of even 1 months rent. over and above you would be down with high blood pressure, hearing problems, stomach upsets while eagerly hoping for that bonus or success sharing.

it just a lucky draw, whether you are selected to be part of the success or not, there is no guarantee to get anything other than a WFR/layoff letter when you are too old to meet their aggressive targets.

"I'd like to see employees on the same bonus terms as the board". In that case, everyone would be paid a bonus whether they met targets or not.

It is highly unlikely that all qualifying targets would be met, as the 2020 goals are based on blind optimism and the strange belief that people would be tempted to work harder to achieve such goals when their colleagues are being riffed.

So its all academic really and you would only get 2% of the 5% after all the other (as yet unwritten) criteria gets factored in. Plus you would need a '1' on your farcical appraisal and it could also be proven that you were personally responsible for increasing revenue or achieving your cost reduction target by riffing yourself several times over without it affecting your role, smile or dedication to the client.

It's fairy tale nonsense.

only the manipulators have any value.

That's true in this case in relation to the leadership and shareholders of DXC, we all see that, doesn't make it right or moral though does it. As the previous poster said it's simplistic and naive.

' Haven't you figured it out yet? DXC is a financial vehicle not a company that makes or produces anything - those are just byproducts.'

Simplistic and naive in my view. Try telling that to the f---wit managers who didnt have a clue how to sort out a problem caused by an engineer on the British Airways system a while back.

Problem is the people who hold the real value haven't the balls to stand up for themselves even in the short term, and are running scared from twenty or thirty something idiots with MBA's. It's not they don't have value, they just don't believe it.

@Phpebux-1hlz "the real workers creating the wealth"

Haven't you figured it out yet? DXC is a financial vehicle not a company that makes or produces anything - those are just byproducts.

The real "value" in the company is created by manipulating the stock price through financial engineering.

The rest is just window dressing.

As such, only the manipulators have any value, people doing something as pointless as providing service to paying customers aren't worth a damn.

MQX That's the whole point - top execs, leaders and shareholders get pay rises, bonuses and dividends, but the real workers creating the wealth are just seen as cost to be got rid of, with no value, and undeserving of a share of the wealth and profits tied up in this appalling company.

This company makes billions a year in profit by the way.

Talk about f---ed up, you couldn't make this crap up.

Of course we could get a pay raise. Mike and his pals are just plain damn greedy.

Give us a dam pay raise, enough of this small bonus that won't be given out to too many people.

I have been Meets All and Exceeds Some Expectations for 3 years running at least and nothing in the way of an increase in pay.

IF Mike can get millions, then the rank and file can get a 5% raise.

@eji is correct.

Crumbs from the table. I play five a side football with an ex M2 who was on an annual 15% bonus prior to his leaving. This is just a distraction to make you think you will get something. If an M2 is on that what do you think Lawrie is on?

If it's anything like the previous insentive schemes it won't be worth the paper it's emailed on! It's just another tick box exercise to show they are looking after some employees, the reality couldn't be further from the truth! I think the only ones who will be taken in by this corporate bollocks are the 18k a year graduates with their brand new degrees.

I don't believe a word that these bunch of shysters tell us.
