September is the end of Q3. It wouldn't be crazy if they reduced costs more before the end of the fiscal quarter. They might want to wait for Q4 and reduce spending more in Q4. Clearly, it would reduce costs for the fiscal year by doing another lay off in either Q3 or Q4. Either way, more lay offs before the end of the fiscal year would make the company reflect higher profitability and will be more attractive for a purchaser. And THIS info isn't going to be shared on American Idol. But whether you watch American Idol or BBC news, you'll either survive the lay off or not.

I agree with original posters statement. Some departments were not hit with layoffs at all. Those not yet impacted will be impacted by either layoff or restructure. The company is not done yet.

@1wvo I went back and re-read the email - he's ambigious about how big the cuts will be. When you read it it sounds like the worst is over, but when you try to better understand it you'll see that he left options open. I think if our profits dip again in the next quarter, they will react again - the reaction will be as big as the dip is.

Today we got a seven million dollar investment by a hedge fund, there will be more money flowing. We are on the hook now to deliver stock price appreciatio to them, since revenue is dropping the only way is to cut cost. Our major cost is labor, and they will go after labor if the numbers do not work out - looking at the pipeline of work as we continue to exit exchanges, you can fairly accurately guess where is all of this leading.

I blocked this weekend, staying home and working on my resume and LinkedIn profile - the writting is on the wall...

There will be more cuts. Many more...

Maybe the actions deferred due to the storms will happen, but today's email left the impression that the major layoffs are done.

These layoffs are just the first drips that will turn into a waterfall. The medical system is tapped out, broke. That's why costs went thru the roof with Obamacare but that was only a stop gap measure to make it past the election so the collapse falls on Trump's watch, not Obama.

Too bad most of you spend your time watching American idol instead of paying attention to whats going on in your country and world. Well, I guess a pink slip will wake you up.
