Truth be told, no one truly knows anything yet because Nothing has been announced. There is truth that some roles maybe absorbed by other- that is the way of business and is a reality. Do more with less does not apply to just Humana folks. Those who are getting upset over conjecture need to realize this whole site is nothing but rumors and "educated guesses". Take info with a grain of salt and work to prepare yourself for a layoff.- regardless of your position. Best case scenario is you will still have a job to complain about. Worst case is you are unemployed but prepared.

I agree that the bashing doesn't help, but I understand the desire to defend your role and teammates when there are such slanderous statements being made. Everyone is entitled to opinions, but base them on fact...it's a tense time for all of us, we should be supporting each other, not saying "I'm better than you, you don't do anything in your job".... or insulting in other ways, we all have different roles to help the members with their unique needs. We all have different skill sets and sometimes need to brainstorm with each other to come up with ideas, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate speaking to another discipline to try to figure out options and a plan

I am the original poster. Post after post is people getting upset that someone said that their department might be affected. ( See posts where Hcm Rn and hcmss in prior posts calling each other elitist etc) Name calling and bashing each other is just immature and ridiculous when no one has any facts. That is the whole point of the original post. Yes we have educated guesses and yes some posts have been helpful. To bash others on this site is absolutely absurd and does nothing to help the situation. Right now no one is safe! It s---s but it is true. I am in no way pro Humana but I also realize I can quit at any time. I am not forced to do this job but I chose to wait and see knowing full well I may get laid off. It is my choice to wait and see. I am not acting like a victim. Humana does not owe me anything more than a paycheck. I have been thru 2 layoffs at 2 other companies and this is very typical. It is unfortunate but again, it is my choice to stay at this point. I am preparing as best I can for the future.

I am not one of the posters who jumps on anyone, however I do see both sides of this. The “this is business, reality, deal we th it posts” are overdone and no longer useful. At the same time, no reason to bash posters. That said, it does get kind and silly when it’s clear that the OP started two back-to-back threads with same message, a message that has already been rehashed over and over.
I will not bash OP, but I can see why some coming on here purely for layoff info would find it annoying.

Some of what has been posted in the past was 100% correct, mostly posts rehash fears and conjecture. The old adage is right Hope for the best and plan for the worst. Rather than trying to speculate about the details, maybe should demand Humana stop with their propaganda, the worst piece this week was from WF when he talked about Associate Engagement improving.
The point is, below poster, that posts like this have been made repeatedly. No new value to these repeated posts. Most already understand to take info with a grain of salt.
In defense of the OP, let's face it, we are getting lots of conflicting info from people who claim to know what's ahead. We know there is going to be layoffs. No doubt and no questioning that. What we don't know is who. We have had posts saying definitely nurses, some saying no way nurses. Yes, SSs, no SSs. So yeah, it's all conjecture at this point. No one really knows. It's an anonymous site so there are bound to be jerks who pretend to know and post crap. The OP is right on with his/her comments. What I don't get is why, whenever someone with a voice of reason posts, every one pounces. Does it make you feel better? Do you walk away from your computer proud of yourself thinking, "I told him!". You all are as predictable as the sun setting every night.

Agreed. The “this is just business, reality, etc...” defense of the company and trashing of this site is growing old. Most are not here to debate business decisions, just to learn what others have heard. Communication has been awful which is why this site is so active.
