Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

We don’t mind being busy and working hard!

Allstate already trimmed the fat with the layoffs. Now they are hiring field adjusters here and there in several large markets after realizing QFC is creating more work such as supplements and we are paying more rental.

Millennials are shaping the future of how companies and the world does business. Millennials want nonpersonalized service and dont mind using their cell phones to take photos and receive a check or QCP payment in minutes for a half a-- lowball estimate done by the QFC department. Technology is shaking how insurance companies staff these days and Allstate figures that they don’t need as many field adjusters as before.

Drive ins were shut down earlier in the year because Allstate is gambling on QFC departments set up across the country handling the volume.

This is creating so much pressure on field adjusters to handle the additional supplements created by QFC with a reduced staff due to the layoffs back in August. Increased cycle time and rental being paid out is the result. We are stretched thin in the field now.

We don’t mind being busy and working hard , but we are the ones hearing it from shops, agents , inside liability adjusters, Allstate express offices and customers about how it’s taking us forever to get out to inspect their cars. Field adjusters are the fave customers see and we get affected by the surveys .

Look at the bright side; when you’re “ replaced by an app”, you can start a second career as a grammar teacher.

I don’t think you’re be in Maui “sipping drinks”, because based on your blasting of the CI management system, our leaders, and the company in general, you’re a poor performer who hasn’t done well.

I see a future for you right back in the body shop where we hired you from.

The level of your illiteracy is staggering. How did you ever get a job in the first place? You have nothing to offer and reading your entries gives me a headache. I say “entries” because your comments on numerous threads are easily identifiable by you level of illiteracy. Please do us all a favor and stop.

GEICO and Libert Mutual both have announced rapid expansion of their versions of QFC, and have both announced employee reductions. Liberty is using Snapsheet, so employees don’t even hav ean opportunity to fill those jobs.

I work with the MOI teams, and no matter how busy it gets, an adjuster doesn’t get more than 5 assignments a day (unless they request more during the day.......unusual). The point is, while cycle times may be up in some markets, that doesn’t mean adjusters are getting any more work. It’s 4-5 a day, which includes supplements.
