Announced this day the organization of technology will revert back to what it looked like 5 years ago with many CIOs & CTOs and all do as they wish with no strong central control. Think many Japans run as own org and isolate from world.
The AIG-Clearwater deal spells doom for most ex-Wilton NY IT workers. The idea is to outsource the mess that Wilton executives were originally tasked with fixing (but instead they just inflated the mess.) The BPO deal will mean hundreds of cuts across the investment technology organization.

This is real. Follow the money as in 2007. The stink remained from then even with new Management. Just follow the money in IT - regards vendors, technologies and what comes in the door. They even make contractors put in more time than they are paid. - which is against labor laws. Management knows about this!! The list of wrongdoings is long. By the time legal proceedings start, they will be off with money and contacts. Shameful!
Pay to play baby! If you are looking for who - look to recent and upcoming outsourcing contracts with big vendors. If you still cannot figure it out - look to see who is using the vendors box seats. The small contracts to friends happens all of the time. Friend out of work, bring them in on a short inflated contract to help them thru tough time - is no problem.
When I recently departed AIG, the hiring of friends was already causing various issues. This had led to multiple unqualified people coming into level 5-7 positions in the technology division that had little to no IT experience and inflated contracts to contractor friends. I brought it up in my exit interview.
Hiring practices especially vendor selection, are being looked at by external legal parties. Time will tell what happens. Some wrongs have been committed, somewhere, and one cannot continue to operate on the margin of legality. All this specially relates to the technology organizations
