“And I don't want anyone to be laid off, but why is it there are some that are still there and they have been there for a lot longer than me and I was there for 16 years. It doesn't seem fair or right that people get laid off and then when they do others who been there longer don't.”

I don’t get this at all. So people should get laid off based on tenure?????

Bottom line: find dirt on higher ups...so J Edgar Hoover-esque.

LOL.

What is interesting is that most people that get laid off have been there for a long time. And I don't want anyone to be laid off, buy why is it there are some that are still there and they have been there for a lot longer than me and I was there for 16 years. It doesn't seem fair or right that people get laid off and then when they do others who been there longer don't. And there is someone who has lost their job only to get another without even leaving the company and this has happen about 5 or 6 times. Wonder who she is "something something" or does she have dirt on someone. Higher up personnel should look into this. If this is the case, why can't the people who do get laid off, get other jobs before they even leave the company. A lot of things are not fair at AIG. Just a plain BAD company to work for and they don't care about anyone or anything, EXCEPT THEIR MONEY. Terrible Company...

Yes Senior Management and all the big wigs just want their bonuses and all the extras. They don't care if it means laying off people. It's all about money in their pockets

Isn't it great that big wigs lay off people so they can get their big bonus. How can they sleep at night. Not a people company. Don't go to work here. Bad place, use to be good.

Lookup Linked in for ANY Sr. Manager you know. The extent of misrepresentation is baffling especially since many used the same resume to get their current job.

Layoff November 15, 2018?

As a former employee in the Northeast Region, I still have former co-workers I keep in touch with on a regular basis. Rumor has it a big layoff is coming this week countrywide.

This type of fraudulent representation is very common for those at AIG. Go down the list for Senior Leadership. ..especially in IT....and you will see.

The layoffs are continuing to down spiral worse each week now. We currently lose a large number of employees from the Global BSA team. There is no telling whether or not I will have a job tomorrow or next week. Majority of the layoff is is currently focus at Underwriters, Quality Assurance, and few other departments in the Olathe Share Offices.

It is recent news Joseph Trezza ( Head of Operations in Olathe) step down from his position for a different job locate in Florida before he announced the layoff in the Olathe KS. There a number of long term employees willing to stay to get their severance package until the company is close their office worldwide. I am smart compare other id--ts at this time continuing to apply for jobs and ready to move on for job with more financial stability. AIG is taking a big hit in stock market down to 5% as well 1.5 to 1.7 billion dollars in year 2018 for Q3.

Employees are now waiting for the entire company to close down before year 2019. The CEO continues to hire executives making six figures to reduce finances and merge job department roles while others like I am making no more than $16.25 per hour for the last three years. I can't honestly trust their AIG system anymore. There is no telling if they have enough company provide severance package with STI bonus checks for thousands of employees working for AIG.

I am disappoint there might be no possibility chance they come back after they file bankruptcy in year 2008. The CEO of Company need to take action his his hands to do what is right for the employees.

It's pretty sad and telling when you're surrounded by folks who are so demoralized, they want out... But have enough years invested to make it worthwhile to wait for severance. The good, priceless experience that has been cut along with the zombiefied staff remaining here, it's a disgrace.

AIG Stock is at a 52 week low. Earning report will be in Early Nov. It should be the 10th of 13 negitive earning reports for the Company. They will now have to start selling off if anyone will buy. Things do not look very good for the future of this company

https://www.linkedin.com/in/saurabh-palkar-0307b65

This Linkedin id is fake, such a position does not exist and the very FAKE, FRAUD Sourabh Palkar is NOT a GLobal Head. He is a level 21 staff defrauding people on Linkedin. As a Business Analyst he barely knew anything and was always kicked out from one team to another team.

Recruiters, AIG HR & AIG Legal please take note. Probably a very foolish person who does not know the consequences of having a fake LinkedIN

AIG used to be a good company to work for, now don't bother and if you're there, run for the hills. They want to lay off everyone and hire cheap new staff and the executives keep their BIG salaries. Who ever is running this company, is a dumb a--. Pretty soon, AIG will be a "use" to be company and won't be around anymore. So sad.

I was laid off in April 2018, after being reassured that I had "nothing to worry about" by my manager. I would not go back to AIG, very unstable company. More layoffs this week. I was fortunate to find a job within a month, so thank you AIG for the severance package that I am still receiving along with my paycheck.

There was a time when Peter Hancock was the CEO of AIG - Carl Icahn (spelling) an investor in AIG pushed Hancock to break up AIG into 3 segments Life Mortgages & P&C that being said is this still a driving force underlying everything that is going on now with BD as the CEO - It was a bit surprising to me that AIG brought in a successor to Peter Hancockk that was already successful in his own right & could have been sipping margaritas in the Bahamas gives one reason to pause & wonder who’s actually dailing this mega ship 🚢 there was also more recent posts on here that suggested AIG was positioning itself to be bought but by whom - would this make a more sense than breaking up AIG into 3 entities thoughts anyone

I don’t understand why AIG continues to add so many CEO’s and other C level executives. There are at least 5 levels of CEO’s followed by a couple more layers of presidents, SVP’s etc. How many policies do they have to sell to pay for one of these execs? And, most of them are not based in NY so they go there almost weekly, incurring millions in travel expenses. NOT a sustainable model!

GOT terminated/downsized by AIG. I had a feeling something was going on at the gut level but never expected to get let go on a week i was on vacation. I was downsized by AIG back June 2009 BUT got rehired two months later. I wont ever go back there. The company does not care about the employee no matter how many times they say they do. Actions speak louder than words. The stopped giving us a pension and raises a few yrs back and NOW this. I am moving on from AIG permanently. They are using an AUS algorithm to underwrite their cases and regardless of any $200 million stock losses or whatever it is, they are moving away from needing the human being not just in underwriting but in all aspects. Other companies might be viable for the short term but i think A.I. --artificial intelligence algorithms is being allowed to take over OUR functions. Sooner rather than later we'll all be out of a job. I know they say the job market is hot and for now it is, but not liking the longer term future unless we as a society wake up to what's important.....US, not some algorithm or just simply cold hard corporate profits at any cost. THANKS for the dunk AIG..... MOVING on.

My husband and 5 other account managers were laid off last week. Full prorated STI bonus and severance. 2 weeks/year. Created a new system with employee input and unceremoniously let go when they decided the program could te Lace the employees. Now trying to figure out how to replace 6 figure income havening moved outside of major insurance markets since he worked remotely from home.

layoffs have been going on (continually) in Finance. Kept very quiet.

I do expect layoffs in Q1 2018 given our latest quarterly results. Layoff people earlier in the year so you don't have to give them a full bonus for the year. There's little doubt of layoffs.
