Orlando area hit yesterday! Winter Park and GOB in Apopka. People with 20 years! Legacy Embarq looks to be a targeted area to simply be rid of.

To @PLX29jB-3rmpz. I hate to tell you but layoffs are not reverse seniority. Welcome to level3. Been there over 10 years and survived 7 layoffs, didn’t make this 8th one. For anyone centurylink, level3 is a whole new ballgame. Everything you do cya. Our dept under telcove was a great place to work. After the takeover all cut throat, anything to throw a coworker under the bus. My advise cover your a--, keep your mouth shut during the constant being screamed at. Keep your numbers up, projects will not count, regardless of what they are.

CenturyLink made their bones with small acquisitions until the Qwest deal came around. Karen Pucket is long gone and why she is CEO anywhere else is a good mystery. The acquisition to pay dividends thing continued with server farms and now Level 3. It no longer works and the employees are going to get screwed. Thank god management has millions to fall back on, cause Glen and the board of directors can't run a business nationwide, nor can they claim any stake to their "guiding principles."

I know a few higher ups from level 3 they're running show now. Looking to cut cost all around I heard in next couple years no more union jobs. Start looking for other work... rather let you know before it's too late.

Layoff the people who are stuck in old ways. Complain about doing bonded. Complain about fiber. (Which is easy) complain they have to many jobs I'm with the contractor pay per job. Stolen pairs.. lol takes all day for that or job security. I wouldn't mind going to contract.

Let's get this right......I'ts not the weak Unions letting non members other wise known as scabs take advantage of Union bargained for benefits and Union Protection, it's right to work states that allow this behavior, Please learn the facts.

Layoffs are by reverse seniority, those that have been there 5 yrs or less are first, the ones working hard for the customer....

Need to pay per job? You must be a contractor. If I complete two jobs its because the contracted stoled working pairs so he can get paid per job. We had one contractor fired for stealing an Arial drop from a neighbor. I know these men and woman that work full time. They take lots of pride in what they do. Shame on you for trying to stir the pot.

Same old philosophy, new CEO; cut the lower level workers and retain the overpriced Executive Board and CEO. Story didn't work 90 days and received a 6 million dollar bonus and soon there will be no lower level employees to cut. Business 101 tells you that it cost less to retain customers than to attract new ones, so why Is Story letting go of the Residential market. The answer, just like Post he doesn't know how to grow a Telecommunications company. As for the Union, this is why Post bought the company; it was easy to Bully the union and get back concessions and now they are poised to eliminate the Union and enslave their workers.

There are managers in Centurylink in the Las Vegas area that are making over $80.000 a uear and have only 5 employees under them. I hope Level 3 certainly lay some them off.

I believe in non-unionized because we are the ones that help the customers and care I've done my part whatever happens happens I believe in CenturyLink as a company and change needs to come there are too many customer service agents that don't care about the customer and only about sales Let's Get Back to Basics people be real customer service is horrible think about it as a consumer seriously......

CTL employees that complain when they have to work are the same ones scared to lose their jobs. They are never happy no matter what they receive ,it's never enough for them. There are unions in place but they are weak unions that allow nonunion members to take advantage of union benefits without paying dues. Hopefully the cuts that happen get rid of employees that don't want to work or take care of the customers.

Yes , The new management from the top down is Level3 ( Wiltel ) . There will be layoffs everywhere .

Expect major changes in the next two years. level3 is notorious for laying off , high turn over and running the employee hard , pushing , and many managers have the old " iron fist " style . get ready to work hard , long hours, deadlines and earn your wage .
