Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Less of everything

Less morale, less people, less market share, less competency, less pay and benefits, less Pontiac taxes, less of everything. Lack of communication: where employees actually find out about decisions made after they have been implemented. Indirect communication: sending messages through others. Great job Mikey. Withholding information are we moving to a new building?

Giving misleading information. Everything is peachy says Mikey. But you have a new building. Company’s policies and procedures are not followed, chaos, inconsistency, and poor quality follow. Customers, vendors, and employees wind up hating having to deal with the company and its staff because of the frustration experienced. The hallmark characteristic of a DXC toxic leader is their NARCISSIM. They are “all about” themselves. They view themselves as categorically brighter and more talented than anyone else around. As a result, they believe they are deserving of special treatment–the rules that apply to everyone else really are beneath them. Emotionally, they become more discouraged, which eventually can lead to depression, frustration, constipation and revelation.. For some, they are more irritable, “touchy”, and demonstrate problems managing their anger. Others experience anxiety and a general sense of dread when they think about work.

Finally, you know your work is affecting you negatively when your friends and family start to make comments on “how you’ve changed”, or “you seem stressed” and “maybe you need to talk to someone.” Many of the good people I was in touch with are mum. They don't say a word to connect to past friends. When your personal relationships are impacted, it is time to take a serious look at what is going on.

Work is demanding even at DXC. But some workplaces move beyond the stress that accompanies normal jobs and workloads to being so negative, demanding, and unhealthy, employees eventually begin to ask themselves, “How much longer can I stand this?” For your own good, take a close look and answer the question. Glad i am out of the freaking corporate world. It's cut throat and dangerous with all those backstabbers out to get you. If i do my homework i could invest in a stock and make a gain three times as much as i was paid on a monthly basis. Any finance folks out there should use there god given talents and make a go of it on there own. Wish I done that earlier. GLTA.

I should write a book on all my adventures at EDS, HP, HPE, DXC and the unemployment line.

Excellent post by @Pzn2YQY-xpq, deserved its own thread.

Even if Mikey left then would his replacement be any better? Time to wear 2 watches.

Yes I would get out while you still have money coming in. Soon it will be an embarrassment to put DXC on your resume.

I am one of the less. I got WFRed a few months back. I have to say, it’s been the best thing that happened to me in the last 15 years. The market is strong on the outside. I’ve already landed another job paying more than I was on in DXC. Everything I hear, from every other company in the industry, is that DXC is in a desth spiral. Get out when you can.

I would not agree that college grads have good morale, surprisingly they also are not happy it seems even though most are doing some pointless research or doing nothing which is quite distracting for the usual few who are constantly busy and don't have time to moan & gripe. Can't change the bad & egotistical management, or what execs etc. earn, say or do. So best to just ensure you are learning, working on something interesting and if not happy get out. All the crap on here about Mikey this and that. If you can't change it why rant about it.

Morale has never been this low in the 10 years I've been here. Everyone is openly griping, and many are looking at outside opportunities. DXC has created a gaping wound that's causing brain drain, the loss of customers, and the inability to add new customers. I strongly suggest the company does something to prevent further damage, otherwise the company is going to fade into oblivion.

It's sad to see how far in the toilet this company has sunk, I used to be proud to work for this company and after 17 years it just pays the bills and I wait for the evil specter of WFR to look over my shoulder. Time to get off my chair and look for a new employer.

On my last day before walking out the door with a WFR - a salesperson asked about my availability to deliver a major deal and they were astonished with my news. Mind you I found out that the sales person had been given their notice a few days prior and now they are happily out of jail like me.

Sabotaging the brand? What brand? DXC literally stands for nothing!

The only morale you see from DXC employees is from upper management and college grads in their first professional job. Nobody knows the vision of DXC besides WFR anyone with experience, and I'd hate to be a salesperson trying to convince clients to spend millions when the word internally and on the street is so negative.

DXC is a sinking ship, and the hull breach was created by incompetent management that's sabotaging the brand and its employees.
