Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

The AMT just dealt Plymouth a death blow today!

We were extremely understaffed to begin with. We just lost more very good folks today. The next move must certainly be a shutdown, despite hitting our being able to hit our numbers. We can't sustain all of these losses any more! We can't be proactive or inventive, we can only be reactionary at very best! In short, WE ARE MAJORLY F---ED!!!

And to top it all off, our latest short term HR leader is leaving the company!!! Whoda have thunk?!

Many more good folks are one more straw away from leaving!!

Enjoy your big bonuses AMT A--holeS!!

If there's a lifetime buy we would see an increase in orders that would takes months to build.

That is not occurring so I call hoax.

Lifetime buy of legacy Radhard parts already underway. Parts to be sold to distributor Alliance Memory by end of year. Those product lines to be shut down and an additional RIF by end of January.

Requests are being made in Clearwater regarding what parts are procured from Plymouth. Rumour is lifetime buy will be sent to customers. This means the end for Plymouth and Clearwater. All of our designs rely on Rad Hard parts that only Plymouth provides. Every program would have to redesign or cease to exist.

Worst, nastiest jobs at HON? HR. Biggest turnover. Talk about a thankless, soul crushing job.

How many? I don't know. There are 10-12 that I've heard of so far. The numbers are still coming in. More to happen tomorrow.

But they unloaded some AWESOME TALENT. We are TOTALLY F---ED!

Nothing to now but ride it out to the end for folks like me!

The layoffs have nothing to do with your work - how much or good. The guys making the decisions look at excel spreadsheets all day and don't know the workers. Your boss is on the block too - has the option to execute or leave. I was laid off Jan 2016. Our HR director left shortly thereafter. This person didn't like the way it was done is all I heard. I did not mind getting laid off. Have another job. It is a bit of a hassle though having to go through interview process. But not having to make a commute was nice as was being able to go to the gym / hike every evening morning.

The next time some idiot asks you to do overtime to compensate tell them to f--- off. Don't slave around to make up for incompetent leadership.
