To all of you self righteous noble employees, you are nothing but a number to the big guys in Chicago, Texas or next stop Bombay. Your time will come and the only thing your ambition and fine attitude will have got you is an ulcer. Watch your pension fund, wait you might not have one as you may been hired when they stopped that. At least you won't have to worry when they outsource it to a company that will loose it. Why are managers on a page called The Layoff? Makes you think. Yes, employees DID leave and guess what many went back to shops in the area. I assure you they are not bringing coffee out the to few adjusters left when they inspect a car at their shop. I don't think Glenn is reading this, he does not have time and does not care. His job is to line the pockets of his shareholders. If it means you millennial managers have to move back in your parent's basement (if you are not already there) when he cuts your job, well good for you.

Once again allstate is coepiration and does not.care about people or.customers botoom line is money if job can be outsourced for less thwn it will. Be. If you were a body shop manager (doubtful), and you tried the process, you'd know it's not a "photo", but a live feed, the quality of which is determined by the individual holding the camera....you. Show the damage, it will be paid for.

Interesting, you've had a lot of experience. You're also a policyholder, who happened to have a claim, which qualified for QFC, and you've had the time and opportunity review 100 QFC estimates.. an amazing feat !

If your area "always has high volume", they wouldn't have "removed all the adjusters". Non-drivable cars require adjusters. If there was sufficient volume of non-drivable cars in he market to justify an adjuster presence, they'd be there. Fact.

My area removed the adjusters, then because of high volume, which my specific area always has, they brought in CAT adjusters to handle it. Now they're all in Texas and it takes over a week to get supplements looked at,. Same time frame for new estimates when QFC is refused. As a policy holder, I refused QFC because it is a joke when it comes to estimates. As a bodyshop manager, Virtual Assist only works when they don't try to argue damages from a photo. I usually just tell them to send someone out because they don't have the necessary expertise. I enjoyed working at Allstate, but what they're providing now is not customer service. How long before the general public catches on that they are being screwed by the low end estimates. I had reviewed close to 100 of these estimates, and the adjusters aren't even identifying all the damages in the photos. At least get that part right. I left alot of good people there and wish them luck. They're really going to need it.

To everyone still left please be warned allstate does not care all people laid off were hurt by this there was no ryme or, reason some employees with long.g term never have been rated needs improvement to people.hired less.than one year ago then they have hired pilot to come and help.to clean up.mess why???? Then claims are being.looked.at over 2'weeks.old. I get technology and agree with qfc but to force.people.to use it why then tech reviews at tow.lot?????it has become.a.mess once cuatomers.get there bill. Why stay with allstate when you are doing all the work and not given options allstate insurance.costs more for.wha?????

3sgg........sounds like you're in a bad spot. Hate your job, can't move, and no opportunity. Sounds like a company is giving you an opportunity to make a living when you have no other options, yet you trash them. So, until you have options, (doesn't sound good), do your job, and try to effect positive change.

3Hwh - I'm working on leaving. Did you ever consider that I may be in an area where there's not a lot of opportunity? Also maybe I can't pick up and move either? As far as bad estimates.. I'm forced to go against my better judgement by the company. I don't do it because I'm inept. Try not to hurt your head when you fall off that high horse you're on.

Re: the people saying "just leave". No, I'm not management, but if you hate your job, hate the company, and admit to writing bad estimates, you owe it to yourself and the company to leave.

If you can't, because you don't have value in the marketplace (meaning, people won't hire you), s--- it up and do your job.

Best decision I made was to retire from Allstate after 30 years as a field adjuster. Over the years I saw less and less care and concern for employees. Too much scrutiny. My best years are now here.

I'm curious about the people just saying "leave". Do you live in a wonderful world of no bills and money trees? Its not something you can just leave and hope it works out. You guys must be management hoping to save a severance payout.

Shame on you for "writing a garbage estimate". I agree. Stop accepting the pay check and go.

I'm a former field adjuster who moved to a remote QFC role in my area. At first, everything was roses. Excitement about everything and the bonus of working from home. After a few months of doing QFC claims it comes down to the bottom line. Allstate hides behind the facade of giving a damn about the customers. Anyone who works or has worked for them knows this isn't the case. Most of the time when I write an estimate I know it's not complete and I know it's garbage. We're shoving these QFC claims down our customer's throats. I've been with the company for years and it has progressively gotten worse. At first I thought it was just my CSA but now I see it as a country wide issue. Morale, in my opinion is low. Everyone is putting on a happy face because they don't want to lose their jobs. It's only a matter of time before another restructuring wipes out more staff. At this point, I would welcome a severance package just to be done with this company. You know it's bad when you find yourself looking for other work when you have the luxury of working out of your home. Feel free to flame away but I am a current employee and I'm not spouting "fake news".

I have left the company and have never been happier. If you think the company cares about the customers you are absolutely delusional. All the care about is the bottom line and there is no future there. I speak from over 30 years experience so I don't even want to hear your opinion, I know the facts.

Trashing Express ("useless" ??), HR, his or her leaders, everyone in the claim department but field adjuster is "spot on" ? I think you're probably the same person, but if not, you should leave too.

If you're that miserable, go. You're not helping our customers with that attitude about the company you work for.

His assessment of the job is spot on. If you don't agree you need to get your head out of the sand.

I'm a field adjuster, and what this guy describes ("pissed off, running in circles, constantly looking over my shoulder") isn't the world I work in. This Guy need some to go work somewhere else, probably back to the shop.

I was involved in some of the mapping. If you're the only adjuster in a 50 mile radius, it sounds like the local market didn't have enough demand (4-5 a day) to justify staff in the area. Not surprising. Having somebody drive a couple of hundred miles a day to look at a couple of claims doesn't make sense with the technology that's available.

I agree with the previous poster. Tired of Field Adjusters on this site trashing every other role in the claim department. It's nice to know they're the only ones that know how to do their jobs. I also know several adjusters currently doing supplements through VA and they're good quality adjusters.

Sounds like you should look for a job and or company that fulfills your needs. I'm sure you'll be in high demand.

I work here, have respect for my fellow workers (Express, inside file handlers and adjusters in QFC/VA) and will continue to contribute. If I didn't feel that way, I'd leave. You should. Quickly.

I agree with you. I was a field adjuster laid off. My numbers were highest on my team. No other field adjuster within 60+ miles from my location. I'll never understand this company...
