Maybe that's the answer right there, Humana is going to phase out care management and go to case management. Which would explain a whole lot

Given the pillars Humana wants to focus on, and what they've been in the direction of, I'm a PHC, and, I'm realizing the nature of health are and jobs and even Humanas competition.....it's no longer a degreed job, but a job if you want security where you need a license. I think Humana will keep many PHC and CHEs in certain roles, but I don't like the waiting to see if I was selected

Right. Utilization and Case Management. This posting doesn't clarify what's to come, because it's another area. The meetings yesterday gave us an indication of what's to come, not this job ad. I don't recall licensure being mentioned yesterday, however that remains s good question.

This is not an ad for HAH! Different department, different job, different requirements! This is not an indication that HAH is going to require licensure.

My heart goes out to the PHC, CHEs andRS, that are now waiting to see when, how and if their position will be impacted. I'm glad the management folk told us what's going on, forvthe heads up, and what the plans were for members, and those impacted with severance and support.....the job posting shows what's been said in the threads all along. PHC will need license, and they're concentrating on the Medicare population, as they talked about in the pillars. I hope all impacted can transition smoothly and easily to new roles

Agreed. I respect JR, feel like he's more "human" than others, and appreciate having some kind of heads up about all this.

Thanks for the update in the job posting. Wow so nice to get real answers. The meeting today was not what I wanted to hear but I felt like management actually answered most of our questions instead of just going in circles.

Good to know. Thank you. But this thread does raise the point that we never asked about licensure going forward for PHC's . Unless we missed something.

This post is Utilization and case management. Not care management. Very different and requires a License. This is not Humana at Home. Most likely attached to the regions.

I just logged on to our internal job site, the job was posted tonight, requisition number 179358. Interesting timing guys, made sure to let us all know that they are keeping the PHC role and I guess the one question that no one asked was if the licensure requirements changed. Now they can't say they didn't tell us that roles were being realigned and optimized. Transparency on their terms it seems.

It says the ideal candidate will have experience doing "telephonic work."

It doesn't look like a telephonic role. But I could be wrong.

It says it requires experience with the Medicare population. I hadn't realized there were other personal health coach departments that served the Medicare population, but I'm sure there are plenty of departments I'm unaware of.

I don't think the Indeed job post is for HAH, and may only be for HUMANA

I wonder if this will be the answer to who will be laid off in the phc role... and a few months ago they asked the departments for a list of licensed workers... shady

And they must be licensed social workers.
