During the meeting we had today with JR, it was stated the PHC role would not be eliminated. However I have heard there are rumors that the PHC role would be eliminated by the end of the year. Has anyone heard this?

Unfortunately all this guessing gets us all nowhere. I don't think JR knows at all if PHCs, or HCM-SSs, etc will be gone. Maybe nobody does, but it could change tomorrow. One thing I have learned working for HAH is that overall we seem to be managed poorly top down. Not even meaning JR, look higher up. There was a push to expand things before the merger, now we have to pay the price. They use the excuse that you need to be flexible for the upper echelon not managing HAH In a profitable or successful way. Today was the last bit of stress I can take at this job. A job is all it is. This job is not a career. I understand it is business for them, but the rich get richer & they screw us & the members.

I was told by a higher up today that the hcmss role will not be impacted, it will be expanded related to the future care planning, pillars, and high acuity and follow up the members need
Good question regarding the HCMSS. Sadly, it is probably just a matter of time before the axe falls for all of us.

If LH is going to be so small, how will HCMSSs not be affected?
They are keeping some PHC's for the small program that will be LH. Unsure what licensing requirements, if any, will be.
