Thread regarding Follett layoffs

FHEG Bonus

Did anyone read the FY18 bonus statement and see that the new guidelines stipulate that you must be in pay grade 12 or above to receive a bonus? In FY18, if you were grade 10 or 11 under the FY17 plan and before 3/31/2017, you are grandfathered in. Anyone know if Follett were to decide at a later date to eliminate the grandfathered employees they could do so? Legally?

Based on research, anyone below senior level position is below pay grade 12. Including store managers.

I just read my STIP and see no such clause. Being bonus eligible is based on position, not pay grade. If you see something different please share your source, but do not try and whip up controversy where there is none. This job is hard enough without unnecessary worries.

If this post is correct, it is an absolute sign that Follett is going down. Borders paid out bonuses to the top execs as the company was heading to insolvency. The people who where supposed to be trying to save the company grabbed as much cash as they could instead of doing their jobs.

Not a surprise. My question is if they can create new titles, hire people to fill these new positions, sure they are making 6 figures, why can Follett not pay their SMs a decent salary and/or a raise? I invite the executives to come on out during rush & see everything we do & put up with.
