Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Coaches in St Pete, please give us scoop!

Would any coach fill us in as to more info that was shared this week in SPete? Is 7/25 a true date and when will it be announced to those affected? How many layoffs will happen and what departments/roles? Any more you can share with us?

How so?

I do agree with the prev post regarding some coaches having it very hard and not earning more than us. But some coaches have no knowledge and do nothing to improve that. I find it interesting they send these coaches to St P and instead of going through the entire training like we did, I don't know exactly what they do there because they arrive as lost as ever!

Just because you have some kind of degree, does not make you a good supervisor! Some are such micromanagers it is not even funny! We need professionals who know what they are talking about and genuinely care about us in order for us to be motivated. Some are sooooo fake!

I don't think is easier for coaches. My coach quit and she did not even have another job. She was working long hours and she did not like the job and she was doing lots of reports. Upper management are the only ones making bonus and filling their pockets with money.

Were any of the fcm's that transituons to phc roles after role changes layed off in last two layoffs? Wonder if they will try to kerp us longer? Or lay us off since our salary is top of phc salary...

Agreed. I just come on here to see what others have been told by their leaders, since no teams seem to be on the same page with anything and communication to all of HAH is awful. I simply scroll past all of the "you people are whiners, armchair CEO's" and all of the other keyboard warrior sanctimonious BS.

Agreed not here to bash anyone just want to try to get more info. We all have jobs to do and metrics to meet.

Yes, the comments get silly when the thread starts to turn into a debate about the usefulness of this site (ugggh, again?) or when someone decides to go off on a poster for venting, etc... Anonymous sites of all kinds are ridiculous like that, some people lose all semblance of respect, civility and kindness.

And the coaches don't know until the last minute who is going to be laud off...our team was impacted twice and our coach was kept in the dark. These decisions are based on some matrix, somewhere, based on performance and future plan of the company and needs being met, and it makes no sense to us as the workers. I will comment on the comments.....not everyone is a troll or a corporate spy or whatever they're being called if they don't agree with the comments. Some of us come in, do our job the best we can, meet our members needs, and Humanas expectations. Some days are better than others, some coaches are better than others, some of our coworkers are stronger in some aspects of the job than others. Please stop accusing me of being a certain way or not, since I don't agree with your view. We all agree that rosters are overwhelming, the surveys make things harder, things will be restructured. The transition of transparency Humana claims to have is not what we are looking for, and that is part of the frustration, the whys behind it all, the where are we headed and why? Were all professionals, we can handle business plans and goals, we don't want to be the end result, but part of the process. My job isn't so bad on a daily basis that I'm looking for another, and, honestly, the trade off of the salary and work at home are hard to beat. So, I may do more to keep those things that are important to me right now. I'm not going to complain that my company expects more for what they're paying me, I was hired to do a job. I'm going to do the best I can. That's all I can do.

You're right! I just meant that not everyone comes on here to knock coaches, in response to an earlier comment. :)

"I had a coach who was great, supportive, easygoing and always very positive about the company. Unfortunately, this coach was laid off this year, but it wouldn't occur to me to criticize that coach here. Just depends on the poster, I guess."

Well, why would you criticize this coach? He/she sound great, too bad Humana did not value him/her.

Hmmm I wonder what they will tell us if they were not afraid to lose their job! But this is an anonymous site, how can they be singled out?

LOL! So dramatic! EVERYONE is so miserable and can't wait to leave! Stop the abuse! The sky is falling too! But........ everyone sure likes that nice paycheck they're getting otherwise they would accept that lower paying job they've probably been offered elsewhere.

They will not share on here because they have been threatened with job loss. Believe me they are dying to talk.

Yes, not all associates bash their coaches. Some are happy with their coaches. Some are not. Can't really lump everyone into one basket - many different views, tones and perspectives on this site.

Because many coaches are miserable too! The pressure they receive from upper management is ridiculous. Many coaches do not even earn more than we do, and they are looking as well.... so yes, they could share with us because they are as fed up as we are!

Now why in the world would ANY Coach give ANYONE on this site information? All people do on this site is bash all management 24/7. Did you ever stop to think that they're just doing their job? They have mortgages and bills to pay and kids to feed too, same as you all.
