"Employee Engagement Event?" Employees probabaly interpreted it to mean "layoff party", or funeral wake.
This post is funny and perfectly sums up how screwed up this company is. The employees have spoken, maybe the BOD will take that into consideration.

Supervisors must be getting lazy. Usually they're tasked with rounding people up to make sure something looks popular. Or they put badge scanners outside like an employee networks event not too many months ago so they can make a naughty and nice list.
