Coaches should be making calls as well, they should have 1-2 mbrs daily so they learn the job. They have no clue as to the process or how long it takes to document. Get off our backs and grab a couple mbrs and do real work!

Each coach is different. If you are being bullied, it is a should be reported by each associate on your team. They may not pay attention to one associate but hopefully they won't ignore an entire team. Coaches have to do audits on different associates now. My own coach would always give me the benefit of the doubt. Not so much from other coaches....very nitpicking.
Coaches do a lot, but how much is actual management? It seems like they spend a ridiculous amount of time stalking and micromanaging. I am not blaming them, I know that's the direction from leadership but so much of it is just redundant, nonproductive nonsense.
It's also based on where you live. They consider cost of living when making your offer. There are hcms well about 70 k, my friend bragged about making almost 80 k.
Salaries are based a matrix of experience and degrees and there is a wide range, some hcmss are making low 50's, some are mid 60's or higher
The salary ranges for hcms are very broad 50-80. Coaches may make near 70-80. Lots of hours as a coach though. Many truly don't realize how much work they do. If you've been point for your team you have a better idea of the work your coach does.
And good and knowledgeable coaches deserve to make much more than us! But there are some that are so lazy and fake and not knowledgeable that they should NOT be managing even one person!
I've heard coaches do make more than "staff"
Well yeah, obvious! Just wanting to know how much
Less than nurses!
But below it wa mentioned coaches make the same as HCMRN's, so is that true?
How much do HCMSW make?
No I'm a HCM not a coach
$68k? Wow, I expected coaches to make more! I truly have respect for a few out there who truly work hard, know their stuff and are great support to their employees, but some others that are not knowledgeable AT ALL is like they should be sent to SNP 101 training and should be given a roster so they truly learn how to do their job.
Please read "some" not all of them!!! But management should be more careful as to who they hire to be coach, how to prevent bullying from some horrible coaches and how to retain awesome and knowledgeable ones! We are losing great people, management wake up and smell the coffee, people are leaving daily! Why is that? Shouldn't you start studying the trend? why is it good people are leaving????
HCM RN here and I make 68,000
You obviously have no clue what a coach does. Or how many hours they work or how hard they advocate for their team. They pay difference is very little, many hcms make MORE than coaches. Everywhere you go their are bad employees at every level. It's a shame you have a bad experience with your coach. But don't vilianze them all. Some are busting their tails to save yours.
My friend is a coach and she said they are like peons. No bonuses. Barely ever a raise. But she thinks higher levels get bonuses
Not at humana at home. You are sadly misinformed
What's an HCM RN salary range
The coaches do get bonuses
Coaches don't get bonuses and make basically the same pay as the hcm rn. Now coms and directors might get bonuses I am not sure
Some of the coaches aren't even qualified to make the calls!! But I LOVE this idea! It would be so helpful to have them understand what we are actually doing every day....and we already know they get bonuses for higher numbers...all calls they make could count towards their numbers as an incentive to actually do it.
Never! Then they can't micromanage as much. Humana is paranoid and thinks no one is working.
