I'm in the So Cal area and speaking with others that were also laid off it looks like no payments have been made yet at least in this market.

Idiot. 60 days is 60 days, regardless of how many days are in August. Idiot.
Idiot. 31 days in August.
Just an observer, but if I heard "up to 60 days" , I'd count on 60 days.
Call HR.
To the snark comment let me respond with this: the packet stated "it may take up to 60 days". Clearly your reading comprehension skills aren't very good and all I can say to that is good luck finding another job. Maybe Walmart?
And I appreciate the other responses, as anyone who has taken the time to see Allstate has not been very helpful and even HR it seems has been in the dark on the details. I thought I'd try asking those actually living it. Thanks
Agree, trolling this site to get information about severance seems.......
If I had a question about something this personally important to me, I think there are better places to go for information.
First of all they said up to 60 days so there is no specific date - math much? I called on Friday; they said if processed before Sept. 1st it would be direct deposit, if processed after Sept 1st they said they would send a check. They couldn't give an estimate when it would be processed. If you have no info to contribute please keep your stupid comments to yourself.
Allstate couldn't even tell me for sure how we would receive severance. Check or direct deposit. They didn't know.... It may take them the full 60 days to figure it out. SMH...
August 14th plus 60 days = October 14th. Math much ?
