The lists are out - the hammer is going to drop on Tuesday 8/29/17. Going drinking at ZIPPS after the carnage is over.

If you have to change jobs, possibly relocating and at the very least starting off in a new office with new people, why would you choose to stay with Honeywell? They haven't been good to their employees for years now.

Last I checked, there were over a hundred twenty openings in the valley, in all functions. Not just the ME ones in Engines that you are referring to.

My point was that some people chose not to look for other jobs at all. They obviously assuming that they are immune to all of this. Sadly, they will find out how mistaken they were on Tuesday morning.

How can you protect yourself ? I have seen the positions they emailed us as "great opportunities ". Nonsense . They are all ME positions. EE's do not have a chance.

It blows my mind that some people think that they are immune to this.

Everyone that I know has been encouraged to cover themselves and apply for internal positions, as a backup plan.

Sadly, few people have done this, and have chosen not to apply because they apparently feel lucky.

I will tell you that there will be many surprised people on Tuesday morning. The sad part is that they took no action to protect themselves, and that will be their undoing.

Could be time to compose that one last email to everyone you liked at work with your home email on it. May be good to stay in touch and network with those that leave and those that stay. Have it ready to send right away if laid off so it's easier to keep in touch and say farewell in a nice way to good old friends.

Many tools at work to look up old friends.

Good luck to those who get laid off and those that remain.
