Why are there so many job postings on Indeed.com, Careerbuilder.com, Glassdoor.com , Monster.com, SimplyHired.com, etc. in the midst of the 4th Layoff in under 2 years ?

I have seen a job posting for a Systems Engineer for Glendale Az last week. I emailed it around to the managers in the plant and not one wants to take ownership of it. There was hinted from one that it is an old posting. Then I demand now, Why leave people out there with false sense of hope?
See new faces almost daily at Clearwater. Dispose of high pay and bring in low pay to boost the bottom line .... plain and simple.
They need a lot of lower-paid "new" employees. Fresh meat.
-mor: Yes, the Aero propulsion and APU senior, principal, staff and chief engineers are all still working. I'm not sure where you get your info from.
-mor. Nope, I'm not naïve at all. I work with the Phoenix 503 building propulsion engineers in the TFE731 and TPE 331 programs that for the most part have over 30 years of experience. We are still alive, well and employed with Honeywell.
-niv -- are you that naive? Honeywell has chucked all their older, experienced, more highly paid engineers. Now they back fill with cheaper, inexperienced, clueless engineers. What's not to like? Wall Street loves this strategy.
@OUuPSLI-fyg Thanks, you show my point. Some areas are hiring while others are laying off.
Hiring 110 engineers at Phoenix main plant.
Honeywell is a large company. While some of the areas in it are laying off due to performance there are other companies in it that are still doing well and are hiring. It's normal in the large corporation business environment.
Good question!
I applied to a job (external) and was contacted (via email) to do a phone interview with an answering machine (yes, you dial a number they give you, listen to the recording/question, you answer and hit #, repeat). Then I see the same job listed on the 'internal space job fair email' along with every job posting site known to man.
Something funny going on here...
Can you imagine all your Q&A being recorded and available to any hiring manager for the rest of eternity!?!? From what I hear, they are doing this with 'video cam' interviews too....yikes!
