Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

This could have been handled much better

I can't speak for everyone, and I can't blame Allstate for wanting to stay up on technology even if that means letting some go. But this had to be in the making. Why hire someone, have them relocate knowing full well they are going to be laying them off in the next year or two. The Allstate company is one of the worst. They do not work smart, they expect too much out of an employee on a daily basis. The inside people making assignments must not have been trained. The day could have been planned more efficient. Assignments were so out of order and spread apart through out the area. Adjusters were told not to "rearrange" them, work them in the order assigned. Therefore, maybe driving in circles on any given day, burning gas and miles. Don't get me started on "the surveys". The adjusters caught the crap for them. Adjuster in the field doing their very best to keep everyone happy. They got to assignments on time, were very courteous... did all they could do to keep the customer happy, then the customer may call someone on the inside and them be rude to them.Or if and assignment got lost in the shuffle and was days getting looked at, that was the inside's fault, not the adjuster, but the adjuster got blamed. If they had an email address, the customer received a survey on Allstate. Inside employees that made the customer mad caused them to write bad surveys. Who did that come back on? The adjusters in the field. Adjusters were judged on these surveys. None of this was taken into consideration with the "higher-ups". Too many bad surveys and it affected you getting raises or not, even though the adjusters had not control over how the inside employees treated the customers. Many said the tv commercial was false advertisement. Customers said they never received a safe driving bonus. I'm sure someone will have an answer for that, as they will for everything said. All in all, be glad to be out of the "Bad Hands of Allstate". I've never had their insurance and never will. I feel for the customers trying to take their own pictures or who do not have a smart phone, who have to file claims, who will be standing with their "little check" in the end wondering what happened to the customer service and the coverage they thought they had. God bless all still at the company, and good luck to all who were laid off. God has bigger and better plans for you.
