Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Notice Members dropping off your roster today?

So we have been given a list of members to graduate due to CBA scores. In addition, another set of members are being pulled into an HCCP PHC disenroll queue. Who are these members, where are they going, and what is the criteria for their disenrollment? They DO NOT overlap with our graduation list. Despite the fact that we have invested time to build a relationship with them, apparently we are not privy to any information about these transfers.

When I was a community case worker, the agency was very respectful of my relationships with clients. I was always fully briefed on any transfers, allowed to check in with clients, and an effort was made to respect the time and care I put in to building relationships. Transfers were minimized. Not so at Humana.

This was noticed on my team today but we knew it was coming. I understand the reasoning. I had more than average people on my list. I am just getting more and more red with all my regular calls and working the disenrollment list. I wish I could tell everyone goodbye myself but that does not seem realistic.

The reality is that the calls were not resulting in any savings. Especially the quarterly ones that were just rotely schedule without a true member based care plan. Like it or not, that's why.

They are being contacted by another PHC team through an auto dialer process. This was reported by my coach last week. Knew it was scheduled for today. Not sure why other coaches did not explain that.

Some of these members are disappearing and moving to "monitored" status and will be called by nurses if they have an alert. I'm not sure why we couldn't contact them first, however with as much member movement as I have seen these last 2 years, I don't think Humana places much value on the PHC-member relationship. Everyone is a number.

I couldn't agree more! I don't like not knowing who is being called and disenrolled my someone else. I have been working with a lot of these members for 3 years....that is a long time and we should be the ones calling them. When I brought it up to my coach they didn't have much to say besides the ones being called by someone else are the members who don't have MOC calls coming up soon.
