There better be some communication on ECO this week

All this waiting and worrying and waiting to find out if it is minor cuts, massive layoffs, or something in between is unbearable.

Maybe the ELT is actually considering becoming a true independent, and the deep cuts that come with that are giving them pause.

Genie (1mai) has it right and must work in communications. The ELT and their entourage are oblivious and apathetic to the operational inefficiencies and low staff morale. They don't know and they don't care.

I've seen the preliminary results: after 6 months of study and a $30 million fee, the BCG have documented and proved in a PowerPoint presentation that the ELT is underpaid and that 68% of the shareholders are stupid. They will layoff 40% of the employees and then reward the ELT with a 50% raise.

Genie says: It'll be something like: "The study shows we are well positioned as a leader among our peers. After strategic right-sizing we will deliver even stronger value to shareholders." Then assets will get sold, some employees will get laid off, senior managers will get raises.
