Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Work moving to India

An announcement will be sent out to Auto Claims on Friday about many of the jobs will start moving to India later this year or sooner. As a leader this makes me sick that knowing there is nothing to replace these positions. Allstate is lying to its employees and leaders. Let's see how India handles the complex work. GENPACT (Allstate India) screws up so much of the work now. Allstate is only focused on making a profit and literally cares nothing about the people. Allstate customers will have India handling most of the claims processing. However, other insurance carriers are doing the same to save cost.

We lost our Northern Ireland Tech support. We used to call and get someone to talk to us from Ireland. Now we use chat and get someone from india who handles six chats at a time. Indian tech support can be very good but now the specialists are fixing six different problems at the same time.. So u don't even get immediate responses. The specialist introduces themselves and ask for the problem. then has u wait while chating to the other five problems then asks u another question and goes round robin to the other clients. a 5 min conversation takes six times longer because you waiting between responses. This makes problems worse.

Whoever bumped this chain, with this title, from 2017 is either trolling or an asshat.

What happened to those Tax Cuts that these companies received because of TCJA? That is the dumb part about this - no restrictions/incentives were placed on these companies for benefitting from the tax cut. They should have incentivized these task cuts for every new job created in the US & every existing job not shipped out. Well heck, we hate regulations and we let the companies have a free ride and run rough shod over the American worker. Who cares, the politicians of all stripes lined their pockets for the largesse.

I have heard Liberty Mutual is doing the same thing. So sad. In my opinion, not good for policyholders.

I just realized this myself, as an adjuster for another company. Every time I get a call from their subrogation department, they no nothing or pass along completely wrong information on the Liability adjuster. I no longer even rely on the information that I get from Allstate. They have always been horrible to deal with, but now they are even worse.

Well I can speak for the jobs being sent to India. One of my coworkers ( I am an impacted employee no longer with the company ) that works in the DOC in Irving has been offered a TDY job as a trainer in India for 6mos.. The company plans on sending the majority of the original estimate program claims to India. The offices in Irving and Charlotte will be transforming into the virtual supplement departments. They will still handle some of the original estimates but most will go to India. The big issue in Texas is the major loss of field adjusters ( like myself ) that were the face of Allstate to our customers. There is a major section of Texas that is not even covered anymore by Allstate. It is being farmed out to independent company's to handle. Not only were the Agents not aware of all this going on but Allstate also raised the cost of policy premiums after the first quarter. All of my local Agents were and are so discussed with the Company they represent, and voiced their outrage to Home Office to no avail. The customers are the ones that will suffer the most, who will take care of them and their claims, certainly not an Allstate employee face to face with our "Good Hands" LOL. This is not "FAKE NEWS". I just love the way that term is being thrown around these days, almost like "LOVE YOU", " JOB SECURITY", oh and my favorite "YOUR IN GOOD HANDS". If you plan on staying with Allstate you better be ready to move, because even the jobs at Home Office are fixing to be transferred to the NEW hubs in Irving and Charlotte (the new Home Office), If you don't believe that just watch the job postings. The Local "CLAIMS LEADERS" have no control to speak of and even our 2 San Antonio MCO Managers lost their jobs along with several Claim Service Leaders. The only thing "FAKE NEWS" about it was the speech that Lori D. and Glen S. gave to everyone. Ex-Field Adjuster.

You doubters of outsourcing for Allstate are idiots. GO INTO OUTLOOK AND LOOK UP "GENPACT" and see how many email hits the company is already in bed with regarding work outsourcing sure its running business but if you are a dedicated employee sure s---s to lose your job to Priya or Rahul.

Why would they send out a company wide email for a decision on 200 jobs out of 40,000, or 16,000 claim jobs ? I'm sure this happens all the time around the company. It's called running a business.

Not Fake News the memo was for Auto Subro Dallas & Atlanta confirming that all Specialist work is shifting to India ABO. This effects over 200 people from both locations. More work will be moved in the future. They said the Specialist would be assigned new work, however we know this is another lioe to hold on to staff. You would think the memo would go company wide. Very sneaky for sure, so just ask someone in Subro for the details they Can forward you the email. This is NOT Fake news. Most of the Specialist work will move to India on the Auto and Medical side by the end of next year. AGAIN THIS IS NOT FAKE NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Indian managers in ATSV at the home office seems to be hiring only Indians. There are entire teams that lack diversity and are comprised entirely of Indians. Diversity is a joke here.
