Severance sent back late

Does anyone know what happens if you happen to send your severance package a day late for Bank of America severance package!? It had to be postmarked yesterday and of course it was a holiday :( I'm freaking out they won't accept it but they should right!? Help!

Don't understand why you would want for the very last day to send it, everyone knows July 4th is a holiday.

well I believe if you read your severance disclosure documents I think they allow reasonable accomodation if turned in late, of course, for a more direct answer, you should call the HR department phone number that is disclosed in your severance package and ask directly to them so they can give you an answer and document your file
