Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Fooled by me

I thought once the sale was announced and interviews over I wouldn't hate going to work. I was wrong , now not only do we have to wait yet again to know if we have jobs but also navigate an environment mixed with people who will still remain Conoco but will also be filled with Hilcorp employees / those hoping to be Hilcorp and sadly even those who have no chance at either. This environment still blows and I wish we could just know where we fall so we can all move on instead of 3 more weeks of high stress guessing. No one should have to work like that.

Boo hoo. So you have to wait three weeks to see if Conoco pays you to leave. By the way, something they do not need to do at all. Or you have to wait three weeks to find out you do have a job. Those are two scenarios that aren't that bad. I'm sure you have vacation, so use it until it's time to find out. If not, then shut up and stay out of the way.

Of course they are doing it on purpose no company is going to tell you they are going to cut half of you and expect production to stay up. They like money and in order to keep it up they will have to trim the fat and lie to your face it's just the way it goes.

They couldn't make it less pleasant if they tried. It's as if they want to torture everyone. Ridiculous.

Not sure why your pouting looks like SJ is having a good time. Your leadership and groupies partying it up in the cabins then posting it online for all the pee ons to see. Good times same lame class system I remember, best thing that ever happened to you is that it sold!
