Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Random Observations of Allstate

Glad I got the hell out after 26 years. If you are retirement eligible, and are still sticking around, but b--ch about the workload, you are an idiot. Especially if you are sticking around for the money. Money won't help you when they find you dead at your desk or home from a cardiac arrest. Allstate loves to apply what I call "Performance Punishment" to it's Better Than Expected tenured folks. The better your performance, the more work gets piled on you. You get to clean up for all of the lazy Below Expected folks and clean up the desks & pending for the rapid revolving door of millenials departing daily. Allstate uses and abuses it's folks, and doesn't really care if you bolt. QuickFoto Claim and FastTracks will sink Allstate in the long run. Glen Shapiro is a hatchet swinging, money wh--e. If any of my kids asked to apply to Allstate, I would tell them to turn and run faster than Usain Bolt!

I left years ago and my MCM constantly called me to come back. The pending, workload and yes you get rewarded with the claims of the slackers for being a top producer is bizarre.

You hit the nail right on the head. I left Allstate after 35+ years. At one time I was very happy with my employment but the job got worse and worse as time went on. "Performance Punishment" is the perfect way to describe the job. The more you did the more they expected and did not care how it was affecting you. I truly felt they were trying to kill me and/or push me out. Many of my fellow workers felt the same way and they all left too. What they did to these adjusters is horrible and they should be ashamed. Allstate is not the company it once was to work for. I saved my life by leaving.

Appears to me Allstate is headed in a downward spiral.

You are right on all points. I was fortunate enough to retire just before Quick Foto went full bore. I also got dumped on regularly as I was a tenured employee who also trained many new employees. Unfortunately, most of them are getting laid off. Sad. Allstate does not care about their employees at all. You're just a number.
