Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

The Quick Foto Scam

The Quick Foto option is just Allstate's way of paying the customer less then the repairs cost and after depositing the money directly in the consumers account hoping they spend it and not fix there car. There is no ethical interest for the customer unless they want a quick buck and no repairs. The estimates are horrible and that's what they are told to do, not what they feel is right but what saves the company the most money. All the lay offs, and the customer does all the work with no drop on premiums, who wins? Allstate shareholders that's who!

They are hoping that a majority of customers will just pocket the money

and not get their vehicles repaired. Many shops are refusing the QFC estimates up front and don't want to even bother with the supplement process. Getting back to the old days, decades ago, where the shops hate Allstate. Coming full circle again, only worse.

Either the guidelines on writing the estimates are a joke or the people that are doing them have absolutely no clue on what they are doing. When you have to go behind them on a supplement, rewrite the entire estimate and pay 2-4 time the amount of the original estimate is insane.

What's even worse is that they are using people that are suppose to be somewhat trained in this field. Just wait when they send the work to India during nights and weekends. People that have never seen the cars we drive will now be writing estimates on them. All of this to save a few dollars. Nice move.
