Never let it be said that Honeywell leadership checks the consequences of their decisions before instituting them.

Happening in the UK now in the Fire part of the Security and Fire business. Crazy as all the account managers (who are out 90% of the time) are band 3..!!

This is not punishment, this a pure gift. You mean to tell me I don't have to answer emails when I'm off work? I don't need to answer phone calls all the time either? Please tell me when I can turn my phone in!!!

Rumor at the Corporate Death Star is they are taking cell phones away from Band 3 and lower (I didn't think you could get lower than Band 3) in Aero. Not sure if it will be all of HON but would not be surprised.

You do not want to conduct HON business on a personal device since that device can then be subpoenaed, confiscated, etc. if there is any legal issue involving you.

Nuts to that, I am not using my personal phone for HON business.

If HON would like to cover my entire cell phone bill, we will talk. If they want me to monitor company email on my personal phone, I will tell them I cancelled my cell phone. Schmucks.

All company provided phones are monitored and historical data stored 24/7 and are the property of the company and therefore they have the right to monitor as they see fit. All information, contacts and data communicated via company property are the property of the company. Your location and where about via device GPS tracking is monitored 24/7 and stored in the event any question arise regarding activities. All phones, computers, vechicles and equipment provided by the company are monitored and company property.

Management will probably ban all personal devices on the production floor. Some people totally abuse the freedom we have. I constantly see many test technicians in Ottawa hide behind their test stations and play games or chat on their phones while waiting for thermal test to run instead of multitasking to work on other duties. Test manager knows what is going on but just looks away.

I've refused a company phone for years. Once you get one, you're expected to answer emails 24/7. As for my personal phone, no way would I connect to HON email for the same reason that they would expect 24/7 coverage.

Probably will take it away from most employees other than sales and executives at some point. Would you really connect your personal device to Honeywell and give them access to your personal information? Not a chance!

Assuming you mean in USA? In India and some other countries they have BYOAD. Bring your own approved device as an option. Meaning if you want to you can connect your personal iPhone to HOneywell for email

No idea if they are doing it for USA. And if it will be optional or mandatory

In other countries it is optional and few people do it due to cost as far as I know
