Layoffs: Performance was not a factor

What is extremely disappointing about how this was executed was that performance was apparently not a factor. I am not sure what message is being sent to the current employees?

There was always a belief that if you were a high performer, that even if layoffs hit, the lower performers would be let go.

Or, that a higher performer would be "taken care of" and offered a different role. That does not appear to be the case here. This sends a poor message to current employees, particularly with some of the new initiatives such as CI.

What does it say about how much this company truly values a superior customer service experience when they laid off some of the best employees at delivering that type of service? Early returns on QFC are also not very strong. Rough waters ahead for sure.

I cannot tell you how many times I have taken a bulitt on an ERI.many times I have been referred to as she or my agent. I am neither of those as you might have guessed. Mgt would not pull the survey only stating it is what it is or well, did you have the proper conversation with the customer?

You are absolutely right. Performance was not considered. It was like a "draw the name out of the hat" of who stays and who goes. Adjusters are always on edge. The company has these unfair customer surveys. If someone in the inside claims office screws up or makes the customer mad and they send in a survey, the adjuster gets the punishment. Adjusters have had it unfair for years. Now getting laid off is the icing on the cake. Good Hands, my hind end!!! This whole QCF will crumble. It's a matter of time.
