With the intentions to reduce cost spelled out in the investor presentation does anyone know what the plans are for the California offices? The Palo Alto location is listed as an Americas location on the website so it should remain right?

Palo Alto is already a ghost town. Nothing left to cut.
If Palo Alto has to be closed, so be it.
To be frank there is very little output coming out of Palo Alto and only the big fat salaried employees are somehow located there. There are much more costs on upkeep and real estate than productivity from Palo Alto.
@NPxPknp-dkk if only that was the case.
When ML sold CSC's public sector business he had a massive war chest to make CSC whatever it needed to be to take the business forward and into the 21st century. He could have built ANYTHING. CSC could have been the most advanced IT company on the planet.
Instead he flushed that cash to shareholders, himself of course included.
No, have no doubt that its NEVER about investment with ML, its about asset stripping.
Palo Alto, you are toast. I'm sorry.
If cost savings intended for the betterment of the company and not padding the stock options/bonuses for the top leadership..
Why would a company that us circling the drain keep high cost location? Nope PAlo Alto is toast, but truly so is everything else so don't get attached.
ML has stated from day 1 that he did not believe in big fancy corporate building to house the DXC headquarter.. that implied he plan to scrape the Palo Alto.
It's simply his excuse to say he is comfortable where "he" is in Virginia. As long as he can continue to enslavxx cheap labour to fill his pockets before retirement...
Intelligence and skills is the last thing in this equation of his decision criteria.. look at his undergraduate degree in history and clueless in technology to proclaim the need to WFRs due to worker's outdated skills that he "inherited". Speak for yourself for someone was a "lifer" at IBM - the dinosaxxx
I suspect ALL California DXC locations are in the crosshairs... especially those located in the Bay Area. CA taxes and social policies are driving companies, as well as intelligent people, away from the state faster than a jug of Miralax can purge a colon.
No. High cost locations like palo alto will be scrapped.
