This whole "Where Better when Connected" is a load of crap. I currently work in GT&O in Richmond Va. as a technical resource within the new name "TSOC" as they are calling the Organization now. Currently there is this an effort by our Senior Executives to foster new ideas to improve things - not TRUE!! ...its more of lets educate the ignorant Senior Managers on what we do - as they came from other lines of business or outside the bank and have no clue of how things work - so they can release more staff or either replace us with a contractor, but not until they understand how things work. If you are currently a technical resource - I suggest you hoard the technical information and know how and not share it with this in·com·pe·tent management staff just do your job and stonewall the new management until you can find other employement. The whole reason they want information shared is they have no clue what the actual people working to get the job done are actually doing - and cant fire you until they have a handle on how things work, because then its their heads not yours if they break run the engine operations.
In Richmond they are having an event they are calling a "Hackathon" at the end of June which you are suppose to form a team and participate in a process improvement exercise for operations.
Now this sounds good on the surface - but again its a LIE - its a "Hackathon" alright but intended to "hack" you and others out of a job.
These recent town halls are also a joke - the main Senior Executive never worked a day in Bank of America Operations - he is a slick talker but no clue of what we do... and his side kick is just another buddy he hired into the organization that offers no value - just another example of a fresh face looking to ensure his bonuses - but not your friend nor anyone who actually does useful work.
