Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Time for the DXC diaspora

Let's face it. This company is a mony grab for the execs who can care less about you or your career. It's time to go in mass, leave then with their outdated internal systems and spreadsheets. They will have no more asshairs to cling on. No more Pontiac pointless leaders or clueless ex NASA account hack in Herndon.

I agree a vile company and vile senior leadership who are destroying lives to line their own pockets - lots of companies do WFR but they do it often fairly and with a view that the world is small and people even if they have been let go can be positive about their previous employer what is so unique about DXC is the way everyone except the top tier are venemous in their feelings towards the company I may well be looking at the world through rose tinted glasses but given the ethics of the leadership (check what you find on line) at some point they will be removed having said that they have made so so much money I suspect they could care less - I do hope that they find something really serious to get this lot on so they loose their money which should them be given to the thousands of people they have screwed

Consensus on the board: Pontiac and Herndon is despised and worthless.

And btw, in case you think the severance package deal is good, guess again...anyone has over 15 years ( in USA) will only get 6 weeks and it includes 1 week of working notice. You get notificied on Monday and your last day is Friday. That is your week-1 severance pay. 😳. You only get 5 weeks. All bets are off with the old HP severance deal, you are now at the DXc's mercy. Btw, if you are in at will state, they could cut you lose due to "at will" without any severance... the point I'm trying to drive home is... don't be complacent... be proactive and actively seeking for other opportunities ... don't count on what was considered to be a semi "decent" severance package that was offered before DXC.

Yeah, and if I don't get let go, I'm not sure if I want to be one of those who are left. That's not going to be a picnic either.

@4hrb. Think seriously about your exit strategy. Staying til the d1cks decide when you leave has costs and yes a weeks reward . Leaving on your own -you have control and better mental health and employment choices. Unless you live in a location with poor employment opportunities and are 'trapped' or just don't care (awaiting retirement), the up side to early departure wins(in my opinion). And that's what I did.

"This is how those in upper management want you to feel. They'd rather you just left the company as it would save them some money with any severance package."

Yep. I agree with lkw. If I'm on the list to go, I want my severance dangit. It won't be much, especially with the 'working severance week' but I still want the company to pay up.

@NGuPRko-lkw

This is how those in upper management want you to feel. They'd rather you just left the company as it would save them some money with any severance package.

The whole promotion, no new title, more responsibility and no salary increase has been going on for years... in HPE... and I imagine CSC. There is an obvious attempt to grind down, even more so, the morale of their employees so that they will leave of their own free will. It is callous and, in my opinion, immoral. It is a sick sick company with very sick individuals pulling the stings. The scum always floats to the top in spin-merge (dump the dept) company creations. You only have to look at the vile, noxious characters who are running this show. You can easily research them online.

I really hope karma comes back to haunt these reprobates.

Get out as soon as you can. Don't let the b@stards get you down. You are better than them.

Are you serious????!!!! EVERYONE I know is looking for another job. We are all fed. up.

Stop announcing company gains made at the expense of employees' health and livelihoods.

For myself, I accepted a promotion OVER A YEAR AGO and have not had my title corrected, not received the salary promised, and have now been told that the company is not granting back-pay.

I'm done. I'm just done. I do the modicum to retain employment while I look for another placement, all the while knowing that my day may come before I'm ready anyway. The RIFs are happening regardless of tenure or performance, benefits are non-existent, and no hope for return in the future. There is literally no motivation to stay or even perform more than the minimum.

I agree with OP Regarding the 'Pontiac pointless leaders or clueless ex account hacks in Herndon'. I do not consider there are many employees that are looking for new jobs. The disgruntled are limited to the dysfunctional USPS groups and mates in delivery who are getting hit because management is protecting their own. The employees who should be shown the door are kissing a&& and getting promoted.

To your point I can't think of anyone that I currently work with who is not actively looking for something else.
