PHC ARE OUT

Say what you want they are going to let go the remaining PHC'S and the new HCMS that are being hired will replace us.

Below poster, I was told the same thing about non-licensed PHC's being "safe," so it should have been an easy question for MF to answer. I'm unsure why he skipped that part of the question.

If employee retention is going to become important going forward, you would think that this ongoing job instability felt by remaining PHC's would be against their interests. Easy to clear up if they wanted to.

Correct FCM's weren't grandfathered in either when the educational requirements were changed 2 years ago. I loved being a FCM! I don't like the PHC role and I pray daily I can find another role within Humana. Maybe with all the changes there will be opportunities for non licensed associates I really want out the PHC role.

PHC role listed on career site now asks for a licensed social worker as a requirement, and it is not an issue of a restricted state....and they didn't grandfather us hcm ss that got transferred to PHCs 2 years ago...but there are jobs that are open in subregation, appeals and other divisions where only a bachelors is needed....!!!

I was told HAH will continue to utilize non-licensed PHCs. It was discussed in a recent leaders meeting .

Hcm ss work from a queue, wonder if they're going to get rosters

Something about that response regarding PHC's was not right. It was like PHC's are included in the new care model just not all of you is what he left out. I don't see the need to hire so many HCMS to manage telephonic when there is barely enough members to manage right now and some people don't have rosters due to low numbers. I think the members PHCS are currently managing will be moved to HCMS.

The way JR looked at MF who looked at KM. That was not a straight answer. They were covering something. He was not lying but he was not telling all of the truth.

MF was asked the question directly. It was an opportunity for him to take a great deal of weight off of many shoulders. He said there would still be PHC's, yes, and quickly moved on, but the question was about non licensed PHCs.

So....ugggh. I always leave these meetings with more questions than answers.

I don't think they hired any new hcm ss, they hired care managers, whatever that position is, and they needed certain degrees

I think if you have a license you are safer than not

However, the doctor did respond in the comments and stated phcs will continue to play an integral part in HAH. You can read into that they are only seeking licensed folks or not.

Did you notice someone asked about it and he answered abruptly without offering detail, saying PHC's are part of new care model, but did not elaborate on whether licenses will be required or not.

Very quick answer and then moved on. He's not one for recognizing associates' anxieties or providing specifics, even when responding to a direct question.
