I just heard a rumor that they are now going to require GPS apps on all of our computers for In-Home Care managers. Verify that were actually where we said we're going to be. Talk about Big Brother watching. This is getting very scary and Humana becoming a total micro management company

That's because people use spoof cards and aren't doing visits at all. My coworker was fired for it at my last job. They literally were not doing any visits. Unfortunately sometimes the bad apples ruin it for us all. I don't care if they track me by gps. I'm on the up and up. And honestly it pisses me off if I'm working 40 hrs a week and a lying coworker is working 10 hrs a week but for the same pay!!!
I have had several members complain that FCMs come for 5 minutes and leave. My guess is this is very few and far between but the ones that abuse it ruin it for all of you amazing FCMs. I'm sorry. The last thing we need is more big brother. Fingers crossed its a rumor.

I am a professional and I do my job which means that I'm always at my visits, however I do not appreciate having big brother watching my every single move as that just speaks volumes about the trust that they have in their employees and can create so many other problems in my opinion period when you start with saying there shouldn't be a problem as long as your visit, be careful cuz you're opening a whole other can of worms of issues that can come up when somebody is tracking you through GPS
What? I did home health care for eight years and never had to call my office when I left a person's house to go to another person's house. That's ridiculous . Guess they're trying to track how long each visit takes so they can pile more on you
We are adult professionals and this is so rediculous. They already make us call from each member's home to track us. I am where I am supposed to be, but that does not mean I appreciate being tracked! This job just keeps getting worse.
If you are where you are supposed to be, it shouldn't matter. It is also for the associates protection and safety. Going into someone's home is not without some risk and the company is responsible for your safety too.
My old job would track us in the field to be sure we were being on the up and up with our mileage,location and visit times...no surprise there, the virtual monitor to make sure you're honest about your reporting
That's a stupid thing to suggest. They can already tell where you are using standard IP address. They can find your physical location down to at least your block. Each of our PC's are connected through ARUBA which has an IP address and is then directed through a server giving a second Virtual address, But they can find you.

They do the same on the telephonic side we are micro managed every minutes. How long we take between calls, when we stop making calls and how long we stay on a call. I am not surprise they are doing it to fcm too.
