No surprise there. Employee benefits are on the decline and will soon be non-existant. I'm sure they started with the retirees first because that insurance cost is greater than current employee insurance cost. The execs will call that a cost savings measure and reward themselves with more h--kers and blow.
I believe 2014 was the last year here ( AZ.) you could elect to pay for what was called retiree medical ins. Was about 2X more $$$ than going with Cobra for people under 65.
It sure as hell was for the people who got the cancellation notice.
And this is supposed to be a surprise?
