Yes April 4 is last date on payroll the a severance of 4-6 weeks, turn in your laptop etc. the usual stuff. As one of the many PDFs files we got there was a list of at risk persons, their role and age. And also a list of retained people, their roles and ages. For my sales division about 3% were at risk which I thought was very low. Makes me think direct sales is hit less than other roles
Per inputs a bunch were notified earlier this week - final day for folks is 4th of april
Key people are leaving right & left and attrition rate is unprecedentedly HIGH. Company is already getting numbers which they were planning for FMP plan.
Some of the employees with Low performance rating will be fired soon....Major re-organizational this week.....many people likely to be laid off....hope for the best....keep posted.
sales have had quotas since late february / early march. recoverable draws since october with first commission true-up end of march. more facts, less fake news,
Well how about no quotas have been assigned for the sales force still and no commission payments for many months.
I was in direct sales.
As predicted, it has started. The dreaded re-organization. A big consolidation is underway, with some sales teams to be merged and many people made redundant. This will result in a major force reduction which is necessary to meet the EBITDA targets that management has committed to the creditors, as well as the overall cost restructuring that comes with Chapter 11. Anyone who assumed that things would continue on as before is delusional. The entire purpose of Chapter 11 is restructuring debt, which comes at a price - reducing costs. People are the largest cost so headcount will have to be reduced. This is the classic picture of a company on the way down - and eventually out. Expect 25% before it's over.
sorry to hear that. were you direct sales or channel?
Well I was just let go, us sales team, I have 2 weeks left then 4 weeks of pay so basically paid into early May. I was in the company over 36 years. Not surprised though and certainly not upset with my manager, he is a a stand up guy. It's just we in chapter 11, the market is declining and our products are commodities.
IT Network team already heard of layoffs of 4-5 people 2 weeks before. I doubt if there will be more for IT network team specifically.
who is the crazy man who thinks packages don't exist outside the US?? europe has some wonderful employment laws, they would have to offer a "package". The US have practically zero employment laws for workers so the package does not exist unless it was in your contract...and as for LRC, good luck trying that in europe,
Bring in on 🤡
What package? That term "package" is non-existent outside of US.
You take your backpack, and walk out the door.
Wat will the package be?
Few more hours to go.............pack your bags........this may include me also....:)
If you were rated a low performer in your last review you are OUT. It's called LRC. Low Relative Contributor. As you may know, Avaya ranks on a curve. Regardless of your actual performance, everyone is rated relative to the rest of the team and HR requires that the rating conforms to a bell curve. High, Average and Low performers. No team can have all highs or average -- there must also be lows. So if you were one of the unfortunates who were rated Low simply to conform to the arbitrary curve, you are OUT. It's happening THIS week. Good luck.
is the day for what ?..you have been saying this sh-- for months. Shut up and get back to work!
Tomorrow is the day....stay tuned :)
