Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Heard a couple of rumors that HBT will be going through a re-org. I don't know the details something about a structuring around Connected Buildings and Connected Homes.

Yes. Saw an HR project update that stated risk of not completing upgrades in time to be ready for May ReOrg. However it did not say it was HBT so could include SPS, PMT, AERO and Corp roles

They have been sending more USA jobs to Mexico and India so it would probably time to make those countries have more managers and directors and VPs. That will save a lot of money!!

I heard the same thing. I think that q1 numbers for the business were not good so management will reshuffle the business yet again. There is so much talk about connected homes and businesses but I can't see where that is driving new business for Honeywell. Lots of talk but not sure they can attach revenue to it. They let the leader go in the connected home business and the temporary replacement says they are going to hire a few hundred software engineers but they can't find qualified engineers in the U.S. So they are trying to bring in more engineering from China and India. Sounds like he has been drinking the corporate Kool-Aid and trying to s--- up to the new CEO. I believe that the restructuring will continue in this business until they can consistently make their numbers, and I don't see that happening this year.

Heard a similar rumor because HR said they needed to finish some of their tool updates like PeopleSoft and HR Direct in time for the May re-org. Plus a lot of leaders have quit or announced they are retiring
