Bogus post. Wasn't true and never happened.
Any new news on this thread? Did buyers come back?
jtAey: reminds me of the Homer Simpson gag. Boss to Homer; if you don't come in Friday, don't bother coming in Monday. Homer: Woo, hoo, four day weekend.
A CPSR disqualification is a big deal if it actually happened especially at the the Clearwater site... Just Sayin,,, Forget about any expedited deliveries...
Uh-oh...buyer/purchasing issues at Clearwater and Glendale, the delivery numbers for AEOC will not look good this quarter.
I suspect that Honeywell is outsourcing all procurement activities. They have let our Clearwater purchasing organization to wither down to two buyers. The procurement manager, abruptly quit two weeks ago. There are probably 100+ urgent requisitions in queue, so if that happens to our site, we will lose 6 months schedule across the board while we try to work through some new group doing our purchasing....Last I heard our purchasing systems were 'dis-qualified' due to failing the yearly CPSR (Contractor Purchasing System Review) audit, that means that the ACO (Administrative Contracting Officer) needs to approve every requisition over a certain value....
Buyers that were contractors or buyers that were HON employees? I heard many of our contractors through single suppliers are being replaced because they found a company that will do it for less, but it was already outsourced. It's bad when we RIF what we already outsourced. How many people? There are a lot of ISC people at Glendale.
Ouch! But how crazy is this company? No warning, no planning ahead?
Ugh. Please keep us posted. So sorry. The destruction continues
