They are radically changing the U.K. Pension for all HON employees. Converting from defined benefit like USA to defined contribution which pays out much less
Plus if you stay past June 30 your early retirement option changes. The age is older goes from 62 to 67 for penalty calculation. And the percent penalty per year younger goes to 7% from current 4%
So if they retire today at age 58 their penalty is 62-58=4. 4x4=16% less pension
On July 1 that becomes 67-58=9. 9x7%=63%!!! Reduction!!!!
Can they do this to us in USA?
They are not giving any offers, no severance and no additional years of service or years of work. Just a take it or leave it deal.
