Not feeling the fanfare upper management is trying to force on us. Did any of you dress up and/or wear black and white? Anyone excited about their free cupcake or DXC pen?

Nada
No pen
No mug
Mucho trabajo
Black and White, get excited. Why ? Most of us are getting RIFF'ed anyway, Only the CEO , VP's are happy because of the millions of dollars in bonus and the artificial stock price. Because all the layoffs helping the bottom line , but that will soon change after customers figure out DXC laied off all the real talent in the company.
We got pens?
Nothing in the Netherlands. A new office building with all problems connected with that.
I got a very bad taste in my mouth seeing that we black/white was mandatory, except for "Papa Smurf".
"The only viable 401k option is to either quit or pray for a rapid layoff. Then you can take the fund elsewhere. Otherwise you will see its quite rapid decline into oblivion."
Yeah, that comment makes a lot of sense, but par for the course on this web site.
We got nothing...not even cupcakes haha. What we DID get was a very unproductive day due to vague computer server issues. I was only able to work three hours out of an eight hour shift since I had no access to the programs we need. TookTues off but heard from coworkers they are still having problems. Will make sure to bring a book tomorrow as we are not allowed to leave if system goes down. Welcome to DXC!!!
I got a mug - Black obviously. That's all I wanted. Goes with my EDS square logo mug, EDS round logo mug, HP white mug, HP purple mug and HPE white and green mug. Also got some badges (or pins as the yanks call em). If you cover the top inverted triangle on them its looks like a skull...

No freebies on our site, just another day at work.
Nothing at our ex CSC site. No balloons, no fan fare, no swag. Just another day of looking over your shoulder, wondering when the box with your name on it was coming.
Save the money on the trinkets, make sure your product (the people who bring in the money and do the clients work) actually get compensated at a decent rate. They had lunch catered for us at our facility, but I wonder who will get laid off next week to pay for it and the stupid balloons all over the place.
Got no freebies on my site. Not that I would of cared if I did. Blacks my favorite color but geeze, did the black balloons all over the site resemble more of a funeral or was that just me...?
The remote working policy has been released. Time tracking to continue.
What is happening to our 401ks. On the former HPE side our stuff is still under Fidelity
Not a thing - nothing different -
Nothing - Zippo - Nadda received on Day one . I Got more work and more major confusion from the clients. I was told its "Business as usual" . So of course it is business as usual . I expect nothing anymore... not even common decency. I wont be surprised when the confusion grows and less and less is shown for this costly venture . Pens , T shirts, balloons and the rest of the dog and pony show can fool any newbie , but us seasoned employees know better. Just a different shade of lipstick on the same old pig. Ask me again when we start receiving compensation in the way of merit increases. Since Money talks and b---s--- walks, this first day is the first step of a long journey to nowhere . Good luck everyone.
I work from home, so unless they send something in the mail, I got nothing.
Been business as usual, except we were told to change the company name in our email signatures.
No changes in India. You are lucky you got to see a pen or T-shirt - nothing for us!
I got a similar question regarding the DXC name. Still don't know how to explain it...
Why advertise the company, unless they pay you extra to do it. We got nothing :(
Yep, and they ran out of t-shirts, that's all I really wanted..
I got a bag of DXC swag which included a pen, stickers, and a badge holder. The lobby is decorated with black and white balloons along with DXC banners and videos. I told my customer that today I am now a DXC employee, and had to explain that DXC is not an acronym, which he found confusing.
Beyond that it has been business as usual.
