March 15 - has anyone else heard that date as the next "big one" for layoffs?

That was the day I was laid off from BAC in Pittsburgh. Now the whole office is gone. Good luck to everyone!

I'm sorry to hear that. What department were you in and location? Were any peers impacted too?

It's happening today - it happened to me.

There was lots of scrambling in February working on budgets, headcounts, contractor tenure etc and I did hear a date at the end of Feb being the action day, mostly for mywork people. In the meantime they are having to work out the risk of having lots and lots of H1B's with too much corporate knowledge and how they can continue the strategy. When the day came and passed I was told everything was on hold. I expect the date could reappear at anytime. Really not sure how the politcal landscape is impacting (not an invitation to gripe about current administrations) because I believe h1bs will be limited and if there are and contractors the bank wants to keep they have in the pipe now.

I find it hard to believe that they can keep letting associates go. They are running at a 10 to 1 ratio of consultants to associates. How thin can mgt go and still continue to run the business?

This site was on the spot for me the morning I was going to get laid off... I signed on, heard the rumors, checked this site, which had that day's daye as a layoff day and was laid off less than hour after. It was pretty dead on for me! A year ago this month! Good luck to all! Be prepared! Don't think just because you are a high performer and work your a-- off that you will be spared, not the case.

Just to share, our area HAS changed a layoff date due to overall performance. We had folks slated for release and then due to the unit performance and technology issues, we couldn't spare to release them. I only know this because I was on the planning side.

I overheard March 7th, Tuesday several associates in UW Mods....they already did a small one a few weeks ago in Jacksonville, Arizona and Texas locations...Tuesdays are the new Wednesdays now for depleting associates....Remember they look at bottom 10% first....Management does not care if you have system issues, new vertical guides that take more time to review...never true data report that captures your down time against amount of loans reviewed each month...so the playing field is set up for failure. Good luck to all hard working MODS Underwriters, sorry to say this department is treated so unfairly.....I'm very concerned that BOA has never investigated this area....associates work overtime and not paid...that is just one concern over several in this area...God bless you all..

The bank does change its mind that often. Not surprising at all

3nhf - No low level associate has any idea of actual layoff dates. They do the best they can with what they hear and post it. All informations is good information when it comes to someone possibly losing their job and it is our job to eat the meat and spit out the bones when publicly posting information is concerned. Amazing that you think a public forum will only consist of facts and actual dates. Stop being a pretentious douchebag.

2lal - so its not the poster's fault they have inaccurate information, it's the bank's fault for what exactly? People post up a date 2 weeks out and then nothing. Do you think planned layoff dates are so easily changed?

No personal responsibility - definately legacy bac.....

As one that is in the middle of it, something is definitely in the works for March.

The site has been accurate. The bank keeps changing its mind about what they want to do.

This site use to be pretty accurate with regard to the layoff dates that were posted ( 18 months ago+ ). Now it seems like its just a bunch of morons throwing out dates to see if anyone reacts. Useless.
