Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Trumps' job growth plans

Dave Cote did not attend the CEO's meeting at the White House today to help reduce burdening regulations. Although had several meetings with Obama, he elected not to join in Trumps meeting.

The reason he wants to continue his moving of manufacturing operations to foreign locations. He has moved everything from aerospace components, environmental, and safety to Mexico and China.

He is doing for Honeywell what he did to the GE appliance business a short term objective with long term disasters. Dump your Honeywell stock!!!!

Honeywell DSES "SSO" facility in Glendale, AZ once had a hallway with Patent Innovators listed on plaques on the walls.

It was fun to try to see how few had remained with the company over the years.

Eventually the hallway walls were wiped clean, all of those plaques were removed,

the absence of the plaques now reflecting the absence of those innovators from long ago.

Now THAT was an interesting post, especially if it was true. Either way, isn't it lovely how things are these days?

Clearwater lunch was awesome! We all were exited to hear about innovating technologies and all the things Honeywell is doing not in Clearwater. It was also a little acquard when the pattent recipients were called out and we all looked around and no one showed up - mostly because they either left or were laidoff. It was a sobering moment to see that a good chunk of our innovators are gone. Lunch was good. I had seconds. I love my Honeywell. Maybe next year I'll even get and outstanding engineer award and win a car at the same time.

The more freedom you give companies to profit the more they'll do so at the taxpayers expense. Given all the RIFs and furloughs I'd think you'd be smart enough to notice that Honeywell or any large corporation could give a rats a$$ about jobs in the states. In fact it'll do us better if we were to promote profit sharing or penalize corporations who gives massive profits to shareholders but not employees.

Have you read The NY Times article about Trump rattling the Aerospace Industry?

I rebalance my 401(K) twice a year and rake off any Hon appreciation to feed more stable investments. I try to keep my Hon at less than 5% overall. Remember what happened when Enron hit the skids? Not that Hon will go that way soon, but one never knows. House of cards and all that.
