Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

I feel for the people who don't want this but seriously I would take 1-4 weeks unpaid away from Honeywell if I could! Not even been offered 1 week for over a year..If they want to cost save offer it to everyone, I am sure this will save the people who are suffering and benefit the ones who are willing to accept

Getting half a paycheck (actually less than that) is sort of annoying, but I must admit that I enjoy the time off. It really provides a big contrast to the impossibly hectic workload waiting for you when you get back.

If I thought it would save the company I would be more than happy to take a quarterly furlough but sadly nothing will save Honeywell.

It's well past time to jump ship. I just wish I hadn't wasted my career here. 6 years away from retirement age does not bode well for any equivalent job.

To anyone reading this who is under 50-- RUN FAST away from here. Take it from someone that knows-

We are retired now but back when furloughs first started (2008, 2009?) my wife and I used to smile when we had to take 5 days off each quarter as it was used as another week of vacation added to the 6 WKS we were already getting.
