Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Honeywell!!! The most backwards facing, downward spiraling, innovation lacking company out there. Way to go, Dave-

Reading the previous post with this link: http://www.cnbc.com/2017/01/07/say-goodbye-to-9-5-and-the-commute-more-and-more-jobs-are-becoming-flexible.htm

I wish someone could explain what the 'big picture' here is because Honeywell has earned- yes, earned itself the great distinction of being one of those companies everyone should run fast and hard away from. A very backwards thinking group of narcissists at the helm. Wtf

What possible explanation, other than Dave C. has a brain tumor. (Lol) Why else would you drive a company into the ground? If it's for the stockholders, how does that make sense? The stock will eventually reflect what's going on.

I hope leadership is reading and following this site. Maybe some not cowardly person in power will step up and try to do the right thing.

The link is not broken, it just needs to have HTML at the end... Right now it just shows HTM. You can google the article and it's still up.

Work from home was literally the only thing keeping me at this stupid company. I'm on my way out and I tell every new engineer to move on as fast as possible. Honeywell is not a place for a career now, it's a stepping stone to greener pastures, nothing more.

Yep, DC is emptying the gun before giving it to DA. DA's not smart enough to realize it until DC and the lions attack him for ruining his legacy. Watch him bail soon too.

The Board has tunnel vision, focused exclusively on one thing only.....the stock price, which is at its highs. They are totally oblivious, and/or don't give a damn as to the circumstances and/or manipulations of the numbers via rifs, furloughs, salary freeze/cuts, benefits cuts, employee morale, etc., to get it there. So DC can do whatever he wants, as long as the stock price keeps appreciating. But one would expect that something has to give eventually, and that will surely come after DC bails. Good luck DA! There won't be much left for you to manipulate the numbers with after DC leaves. If three, unprecedented, rifs in a year, and furloughs, etc., isn't telling you anything, then you've got a lot to learn.

Let me make it very clear that I am NOT advocating for DC or his ilk. I, personally, take comfort in knowing that karma does catch up to people eventually and I don't want to be anywhere near those people when it goes down. However, I want to bring up something someone said to me the other day when we were discussing everything that has been happening at Honeywell over the last 5 years ...

We are all so busy lashing out at managers and directors for not standing up for us ... and of course Madsen and the rest in charge that we all seem to forget that despite it all, Dave Coty still has to answer to the Board of Directors. Since he continues to punch holes in the floor of the ship, it would seem they have no issue with what he is doing and are in fact, probably encouraging him to punch bigger holes

And it appears his incoming replacement, which they approved, is as bad or worse if the rumors are true.

So who are the real villains in this drama?

Agreed except I don't think you want any of the rotten vegetables at the top parts of Honeywell to "do the right thing" in that way. The weasles have long taken over. Or, the smiling monkeys in the tree model fits just fine.
