Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Could this be the "new software Honeywell"?

Will this be the back-fill for American jobs so Trump can keep a campaign promise on cutting H-1B Visas AND creating jobs in America?

I saw a link to an article on the Intel layoff thread, I found really interesting. Honeywell already has some of this going on:

http://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2017/02/cringley-how-silicon-valley-can-sidestep-trump-h-1b-visa-restrictions.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+NakedCapitalism+%28naked+capitalism%29

A great quote from the article: "First is the lemming effect where several businesses in an industry all follow the same bad management plan and collectively kill themselves"

So the plan could be to get rid of the H-1B Visas but use the L-1Bs to bring the foreigners in for direct employee back-fill. This will free us other older folks to have to go into the defense industries. Create "new" jobs that will mostly be filled by cheaper foreigners who are not allowed to do the defense jobs. Fill up those empty Honeywell plant areas!

Note I am NOT trying to be xenophobic, bashing foreign associates, nor am partisan to any political party. I'm just trying to figure it all out folks, so I can survive until retirement!

To be fair, many of us are finding our skills are not up to date for the current job market, either, but I think even if I had some of these newer skills I still would have trouble finding a job due to being over 50.

I heard DC was terrible at TRW as well. I know of an engineer who worked at TRW when he was CEO, hated it, so then took a job at Honeywell, only to have DC show up as CEO there, too!

Cote is a traitor to America.

Don't worry about H1B visas at Honeywell as their primary concern is shipping manufacturing and technologies to offshore locations, Mexico, China, India and this will increase under Cote as he did for GE.
