People left jobs with seniority, pensions in hope of being able to work in")
I read your post and this is JUST ANOTHER DISGUSTING VARIABLE OF the last few years at Humana. It's more than a layoff issue. This is a horrible/wretched department (HAH), company of sadistic measures. I've only seen this type of ruthless, profit driven management in movies/documentaries! I'm not laid off. I pray that I will get a severance or layoff notice before I self demise. I'm looking for an escape route now before mental health crises. I've been looking, but little opportunity in my small town areas. We are now being told eat pig manure with a smile because we have not been cut. The really unnerving part of that is...that they are doing this knowing how hard we have been beaten down endlessly over the last couple years and they do so with further, probable knowledge that we ARE on the chopping block. I could never sit in the "powers that be" seats! I have too much of a conscious and ethical and spiritual morality. I could never do this to people that we beat down for our profit. I could never do this to people that pay us to take care of them. And this doesn't speak to their always increasing premiums, copays and unending abolishment of MA benefits, i.e. Silver Sneakers, smoking cessation, to OTC benefits, to on and on. They slowly take these pieces of value away from our members and puts another cha-ching in the share holder/corp pockets....then tell us to refer our poor members to the overly drained counties for help and the counties say...."well, why doesn't their insurance cover this?" My reply, "Well, because Humana's Franky boy wants to upgrade his pre-ordered Model X Telsa to a 2017 and this is super important as the 2016 Model X is soo last year! So please care for this Member....cuz we not about to!" SMH...cuz what else can ya do!
