Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

WTF is Target doing to stay alive????

Amazon is opening new store formats without checkout lines, building its own $1.5B air cargo hub, experimenting with drone deliveries, and they're expected to announce record 4th quarter sales. Meanwhile, TGT recently issued a profit warning on weak holiday sales and I still don't know if what I want will be on the shelf when I go to a store. Does Target care about remaining in business? Or are they just hoping Amazon will purchase them before they become the next kmart?

I'll chime in. A whole hell of a lot less than Target.

I know the OP is a hit and quit it, truth be damned kind of person, but what is AMZN's NET INCOME again? You now, profit AFTER expenses? Go ahead I'll wait.... AMZN appears by all accounts to be a super duper hype machine, eerily similar to the DOT COM period.

Maybe take a page from Elon Musk's playbook and build underground. Should save on both heating and cooling. Could call 'em Targrottos.

Yeah target definitely needs an image make over as well. Targets look the same as they did 8 years ago and in my opinion the new electronics layout is total crap

I was just recently hired to target and have worked for multiple grocers in the past. They need to figure out a way to cut other costs to afford more labor or operate more efficiently. The priority needs to be the sales floor not the back of house. It's sales that generate growth. And that needs to be the sole focus at this point.

What is the point of this rant? You need some new material.... maybe post more phony layoff announcements.

If TTS and Supply Chain could figure out their systems and fix ship from store and inventory issues then the Stores Organization would be fine. It's hard to sell what's not on the shelf and maintain brand standards when your entire team is in the back trying to work through a busted shipping system.

The TTS team is doing awesome, if only the stores organization could get their crap together.
